Bloodstained Philosophy (The Raid 2 x Yakuza 6) 

I think missing qtes is essential part for playthought, it makes the character you playing not so invincible. Like i missed some qtes in my first playthoughts just for some cool epikness

The last one wasnt a heat action, that was a straight up QTE to a "FEEL THE HEAT"

Someone should edit every fight scene with the Yakuza UI. I want to see the Health bars and button prompts. That would be hype as fuck!!!

Honestly, 2:05 and 2:11 are more like QTE prompts. The last one is totally a feel the heat.

What's better is Rama ( the good guy ) actually practiced tiger style silat Silat has three prominent stances ; tiger , eagle , and crocodile. I haven't seen the eagle , but i think crocodile style is more on the grappling and ground fighting ?

there was a yakuza/Ryu Ga Gotoku movie adaptation that made back 2006 but it wasn't that good because of how much they tried to squeeze in under a 2 hour movie

I wouldn't be surprised if the crew at RGG had seen the movie and took slight inspiration. Hell, the fight in the game even opens with the arms crossing like that.

Saw the movie because of this. The combat in it is fucking awesome, and I’d hear any Yakuza music in my head that went along with it. Just goes to show how wonderful the soundtracks can be

Raid 1 and 2 have some amazing fights. Some of the best action movies of the decade

Technically, Joon-Gi uses a Karambit in Yakuza 7 for a couple of his attacks.

@@figgo6309 hopefully, since there's no statement or confirmation from him, it's still an assumption, but judging from his storytelling and camera works, I can assume that he's inspired by Yakuza games.

@@moron4 the point is, none of the raid's cameras work, storytelling, or whatever really looks anything like the yakuza series prior to yakuza 6. meanwhile, in yakuza 6 (which was released 2 years after the raid 2), during someya's first fight, he and kiryu are doing the stance thingy during the dynamic intro that looks exactly like the raid 2's kitchen fight. also one of the bosses called Ed was using a karambit, the same knife the kitchen guy uses in raid 2. coincidence? i think not. so yeah, i highly doubt gareth took inspiration from the yakuza series. meanwhile there are small references to the raid in yakuza 6.

Since silat mostly based on tiger , eagle , and crocodile... i'd think he's using the Tiger style based on the stance. The same with the protagonist.

I mean, in the raid 2 movie, Rama really did pulled off a one man army to a criminal syndicate’s HQ by storming in the warehouse with a car, beating and killing every single gang member and assassin and got the the gang leader killed. Kinda what Yakuza 0 Majima did when storming the Tojo HQ. So “arch nemesis” would fit well with the assassin, it’s basically Rama’s Lao Gui type of boss.
