@@nathanhamman418 I know this is 3 months old but buer can give you a triple jump because you can kick off of it to reach high places early. Awful for combat but worth adding to whatever shortcut you use for hard to reach areas.
@@nathanhamman418tbh he helped me beat the 2nd zangestu fight by blocks his attacks and projectiles constantly while I spammed jump whip canceled, he's fun and useful against bosses so I'm not going to make fun of Buer💀
This.... kind of puts in perspective how bad the familiars are. -Buer is floor only, which makes it useless against over half the enemies in this game, and bad against bosses too due to the dmg being too low -Archer is cute but.. low damage, slow projectiles -Dullahammer head is just very low damage even with more projectiels Then you get -Dantalion the damage buff is nice, but thats apparantly all it does? -Blood Bringer has reasonable damage but its dps is cut down due to being so slow to land any hits - Carabosse has good healing, but her damage is non-existant, and her healing relies on you having the items required And finally -Silver Knight has mid-tier dmg, but can multihit for a lot of damage on big or slow enemies, and his special ranged attack can hit anything. Really, these familiars could have used a little bit of an edge in order to make them more equal to one another: Buer's fire attack could lower enemy defense and deal a DoT tick, Archer could deal crits that deal 50x its normal damage, Carabosse could deal reduced healing but not rely on your items, Blood Bringer just needs a faster attack animation, and Dantalion should give out more buffs as it ranks up (any random stat increase). Frankly I only use Silver Knight, and sometimes take out Carabosse if I need healing when I run out of items. I have no reason to ever use any of the others.
Depending on Your style of play, the upgraded dullahammer is not bad. I turn them off because of the visual noise they make and of how they slow me down when grinding Alkahest.
