the problem is they give you all these goodies then the whole thing is already over. there should be a 2nd dungeon afterward that you put all these maxxed out techniques to the test.
Hi it's a late reply but yes, you can copy over these shards and their level to the new game over. If it's too strong for you then you can increase the difficulty of the game. The only shards that gets removed are the boss shards.
