Bloodsucking Freaks will always be in my Top 10 films of all time list. Thank you so much for this review. In a Projection Booth podcast episode on the movie, Joel M Reed (when he was still alive) said that he has a brand new print of the film. I bet Vinegar Syndrome used this print for this release.
It's a unique film and so watchable (despite its grim subject matter) 🤯😁 I would imagine the same about the print as its beautiful and I can't see it being improved, also with the excellent Vinegar Syndrome packaging it makes it a perfect release 🤩🤩👌👌 thanks for watching mate 😁😁👍👍
What a great rundown video for these releases! Ive got the standard Bluray release from 88 Films and Ive also got the slipcover and booklet from their LE(the regular cover on the standard release is not quite the same as the one on the LE so I cant put the slipcover from the LE on the standard release I have). Anyway that slipcover and booklet is still cool to have and I did not pay much for them. I might get the VS release but I still dont have a 4K setup of my own and I didnt particularly like the VS slipcover(although it is cool that its reversible)so Im in no hurry.
It's an amazing release if you want to go for it, it does have the blu ray included 🤩🤩👌👌 but I can't really take anything away from the 88 release it's great, there's 7000 units so you might have a while to look for it bud 🤞🤞🤩🤩👍👍
It was pricey but I definitely had to grab the 4K upgrade when it arrived at my local video store. Funny enough, it was years before I realized the actual name of the film was Bloodsucking Freaks. The first time I saw this, it was on a VHS tape that had replaced the title with an alternate title, Heritage of Caligula: An Orgy of Sick Minds.
I'm pretty sure I have the 88 bluray of this, came with a nice slip. It was a decent Troma film. Don't think I need an upgrade, but really nice edition John.
Yeah the 88 one is still a great version and the missing part is only a minute long so it's not that much of a thing to not have, it's such a good movie I think 😁😁👌👌 cheers for watching mate 🤩🤩👍👍

It's a film like no other Marcus, such a wild ride!! About as un PC as they come (which is great) the 4k is limited to 7000 so that makes me think that you have time to try and track it down at a good price 🤞🤞😁😁 saying that, the green box blu Ray is complete but the print is scratchy (but that lends to its sordid-ness) 🤩🤩👍👍

@XFile2708 actually I was good with the Grindhouse quality to this one Marcus, cracking release that I honestly thought could never be scrubbed up but wow!! The 4k is sensational!! I would still watch the scratchy one from time to time though bud 🤩🤩👍👍

Hi John hope your keeping ok I am thinking of buying Bloodsucking Freaks. Can you please tell me if that as got the film on Blu-ray as well because I don't have 4k.
Hi Kingdio, yes it has the film on the blu ray and the blu ray is region free 👍👍 all the extras are on the blu ray as well mate so the only thing you are missing out on is the 4k version but the blu ray has been totally remastered as well so it looks great!!
