You probably already knew this, but blood puppy drops hearts when he kills a couple enemies while enraged. Half a red heart while mad, a full red heart when super.

I learned that Blood Oath accounts every single heart it takes as damage taken, because when I picked up old bandage it gave me like 4-6 red hearts at the start of each floor allowing me to circumvent the pressure at the start of each floor

Honestly blood oath is good, especially on not-bethany characters (the ones that still have red health, anyway) Especially Maggie because you can just heal with yum heart at the start of each floor

If you grt Placenta (however you spell it) or pyromanic, you can easily abuse blood oath and get the damage with the only drawback being time and bombs for Placenta and pyromaniac respectively. E: fixed spelling

I think it took all your hp in womb because the bone heart when empty can take one damage, so counts as a 1.5 heart instead of one.

Old bandage is really good in this challenge, when Blood Oath hits you it will sometimes pay out with red hearts before you even start the floor

a couple of notes losing a bone heart only loses you devil/angel chance when playing as the forgotten, for other characters its like a soul heart blood oath removes all red health if it leaves you alive- eg, if you have soul hearts/bone hearts/black hearts. otherwise, it removes down to half a heart. i dont believe it has to do with being in the womb floors

Yeah, I think it just so happened that he got a bone heart before the womb, so on the floor it removed every red heart, leaving the bone heart "shell" as that half-a-heart "safety" health. Pure coincidence

Lot of good trinkets in Repentance... Sigil of Baphomet MIGHT just be the most universally useful/best trinket to me, though. Got a hard time letting go of it in a run, especially melee runs

It's 1 second invulnerability on the trinket btw, some sites have it down wrong. I thought it was going to be absolutely broken with the 2 seconds but it's still pretty good at 1.

12:34 the item aims to put you at 1/2 heart at any time but it doesn't take away soul hearts so if you dont have soulhearts you'll end up with 1/2 red heart but if you do (bone heart counts) you'll just lose all your ref health

12:37 no blood oath always takes as many hearts as it can if you have half a soul heart and 2 red hearts it takes all your health it cant take soul hearts black hearts thats why you still had one bone heart

I did this challenge a few days ago, and managed to break it xd, found a library in first floor with book of shadows, if you use it as soon as you enter the new floor you don't take damage (you don't get the bonus damage tho, but was safer.

did this challenge. Found it difficult, but I decided to go to the first floor library and found my clutch for the run. I mainly took the book of shadows (and another book for the bookworm tf) and with each new floor I popped it to avoid the damage from Blood rights. Made it to Sheol but forgot to pop my book and was beginning to think the run was over. Only for my game to crash. I booted it back up, got back in and found out I still in the first room of Sheol. So I popped my book before the dagger took my health. And that was one of my favourite clutches in a challenge by far.
