Bloodywood from New Delhi stopped at Wacken Open Air when they hit Europe for the very first time.
WackenTV is the place to find hundreds of clips shot on site throughout the history of the world’s most famous metal festival - getting more and more on every Monday and Thursday.
Legendary performances, gorgeous campground atmosphere and exciting glimpses behind the scenes are gathered here. 20 years ago in London, here I was a petit Indian girl into Punk/Grunge/Thrash metal going to gigs and nearly disowned by my folks. Getting weird looks and laughed at and told it wasn't my scene not fitting into the cliquey groups I stuck to my music and now with Bloodywood I can finally breath a sigh of relief...but know the words too. 😉❤🙏🏼

Yup. Problem is the west is trying to shoehorn into every facet of life. Let things be organic and the diverse will naturally gather together like how different cells with different attributes form a full and unique body

Brojuice Underfoot but you can’t replace kidney with heart and heart with kidney in the body! That ain’t natural and it doesn’t work! It kills you! Same situation going on here... rapping in Wacken?!! If you are metalhead enough you would know that Wacken is One of the oldest metal festivals in the world and it’s got it’s own vibe and standards which has nothing to do with rapping and Bollywood commercial money-making business... I wonder why they aimed Wacken and not another festival with lower standards? The society is very well infected and I see many people are taking advantage of it for their own filthy benefits...

Bloodywood is fuckin' amazing. Diversity is great, but regardless of where they came from or what they look like, they're a damned AMAZING Metal band, and a bunch of top notch human beings. They deserve every single bit of recognition they're getting and so much more.

Agreed. I also feel like people expect the live performances (mainly the vocals) to sound as on-point as the recorded music, which means these critics have either never been to a live show, or just have very unrealistic expectations! There are not too many performers that can do this. I've personally only experienced near-perfection while seeing Lzzy Hale sing live.

Other than the kind of odd Nu Metal feel with the rapping(esque?), I loved the folk metal sound with the traditional wind instruments and drums, that was killer! MOAR INDIAN METAL PLZ!!! \m/
