Stats show show our national debt increased more during Trumps administration than with Biden. Im not sure what makes people think Trump cares about our country, if you listen to what he says its only about how he can use the system for himself. He doesn’t understand our real policy issues that’s why he avoids talking about them
I think it's time for Bloomberg to press for insights from credible financial analysts who don't have reason to fear retaliation (Mohamed A. El-Erian seems like a good choice there) on what each candidate's administration would mean for various elements of the economy: employment, investment returns, and inflation, for example. It's not enough to note that they are both protectionist and will both run up the debt and deficit. First, both of those admit of degree, and the candidates do differ there, but more substantially, there are real and significant economic policy differences between them, and perhaps even bigger differences in the sorts of people they will install in their governments. American voters need the opportunity to assess what consequences those differences will have in their lives, and Bloomberg is a credible source to inform them on the economic consequences.
Taxation of corporations, capital gains and payroll will crush employment and standard of living but taxation of land will not. There is 34.7 trillion worth of land in this country that needs to be taxed and we need tax relief on the employer and the employee 😊
