I didn’t even bother to demo this. Seems like a more heavy handed gullfoss, and that is a plugin I’ve never even got passed 20% of the effect before it’s too much
I like this plugin. Clears up Vox fast and takes some mud out of bass and kicks. Not bad on drum bus. I’m not a fan of the squash compressor i hit it lighter. About to watch the vid now. You guys should test the Schwabe digital gold clip. Cheers.
1:54 this rant right here is why I’m so happy I have a business partner and sound engineer that I half own my studio for, because he’ll ask me “why the fuck do you even have this thing on here” and when I can’t explain why we both know it needs to come off
I like and use Soothe, but nothing else form them felt anyway essential for me. This is too expensive as you pointed out, and its better to mix/record properly in the first place.
I demoed it, the problem is that it solves a problem that mostly doesn't exist.. And i didn't like it when it 'compresses' i thought it sounded like a shit compressor.
Like I mentioned directly to Oeksound, it's a smart channel strip. It has all the aspects of one but gives you the hands off approach and let it do everything
I was the one who suggested this. I’ve not tried the demo. I regularly use soothe both for problems and for laziness and it’s quite impressive sometimes. I’m in the market for what I call an “‘end of chain eq” but everyone else will probably call it a mastering EQ. This seems like a curve ball option. Might try some plugin alliance stuff first. The pulsar 8200 I’m demoing might be a goer too
Have ya’ll seen T-Racks is releasing FREE plugins lately? It would be nice to see some reviews on those😃👌🏽 EDIT: they usually are fully priced at $199 or more
I love the Oeksound stuff. I’ll be looking out for the inevitable sale on this one. I mix a lot of locals and these plugs have bailed me out of so many tight spots. If you’re working with mostly pros, you’ll never need this stuff 🤘🤘
I will not lie. I own spiff and soothe 2. However when this came out with no intro pricing or any kind of discount for „loyal“ customers , i must say i got a surprise allergic reaction and did not buy it. Still haven`t. I know i am preaching to the choir but i am growing tired of this "200 here 300 there“ pricing policy. I mean imho even discounted they are expensive plugins. But to each their own. Its a free market and its their decision so i wont cry but i also wont buy. Btw speaking of scary plugins that will replace us, give techivation`s Ai Loudener a try and let me know how it went
Same boat here. I use Soothe occasionally to fix a problem here and there but rarely use spiff. And agree no loyalty type deal I didn’t feel compelled to buy it right away (and still haven’t). AI loudener I demoed and bought. It doesn’t just make things louder (it can), but it seems to shape things in a way I liked. Another really cool tonal shaper that just came out is Korneff’s Puff Puff (which was launched 4/20 😂). Despite the cheeky name it really is something fun to mess with. Follow Puff Puff with El Juan Limiter and boom
Same here, I have Soothe 2, but if the company isn't willing to be loyal to their customers, I don't see why I should be loyal to them. I won't be buying anything else from them.
@@sburton84 rent to own is like 10 a month lmao. its also very much worth it if you care about making your vsti plugins sound better. It really isnt that much for what you get, and fab filter is far more brutal yet people still buy the shit out of it.. there are so many gimme gimme people in music that it is hilarious.. god forbid you spend 100 something dollars on something people put a lot of time into. why buy anything from anywhere unless they give you deals.. prob illegally download music and cracked plugins
