I've been watching you build bikes for as long as any of it's been on TV/Video/etc... I've got a frame and a motor and a pile of parts in the barn... My sons are going to help me build it. Thank you Billy Lane for inspiring me as a young kid, and now getting to share the experience with mine. I would be honored to be able to show it to you when it's all done. To get Billy's stamp of approval would mean the world!! 🤘 Rock on brother!

Good to see you. Years ago, before Katrina, we were in New Orleans for a bike rally. Now, I am a "camera head"...my husband sometimes looses patience with me about taking pictures. So, we were to leave that morning and we had to get checked out of our room. So as we walked by the Marriot garage...thru the gates I see this AWESOME bobber. So I stop to take the pic. Ol hubby is irritated with me and keeps walking to the corner. So here comes Indian Larry into the garage and gets on the bike. Just then I realized where I had seen this rollin piece of art... he was so gracious! I looked up and my husband was fuming at the end of the street. I am jumping up and down...he looks at me with that look. So I run up to the corner with my camera, right past my ol man and got to the median in the street...Indian Larry rode his bike out and shot me the peace sign! Of course I got the pic...the old man's jaw dropped. I just smirked at him and SAYSHADED across the street. WONDERFUL MEMORY! I also remember you from that year. You were signing autographs at the venue....you literally chased a guy down to return his pen! You guys were cut from the cloth of old school....and I sure miss that in people. Now I have found your channel....I AM ALL IN. And yes...I kept the ol goat, I mean my loving husband...for almost 40 yrs now! We are 64 now...headed for Sturgis to see if the "younguns" have developed any road etiquette.

Duuuuuuude I remember you from when I was a kid. You Jesse and Indian Larry were some of my favorites. How fitting I find your channel as I'm planning a tribute bike for Larry. Monster of a knucklehead. Built up in a early bobber/chopper style package. Few modern tweaks and some shenanigans. Thinking of attempting to watercool it run mechanical fuel injection and a turbo or super. Foot clutch foot shifted gears. Both brakes on the handlebars. On a rubber mounted soft tail frame. Lol built truck daily mentality, keep the rpms low and it drives around like normal, wind the thing out and it turns into a race machine. Modern meets old.

I got a mini story, when I was a kid. I don't know how old I was maybe 7 the summer of 1983..These ruff neck biker dudes just two of them gave me the opportunity to kick start a motorcycle. They couldn't get their bike started 1st after a bunch of times.I couldn't do it even standing with both feet with my weight I couldn't do it.These guys were super cool giving me a chance to familiar myself with a new Harley Davidson black clean chrome to learn it looked really good. Here's the thing that made this event way way way way different off the hook unchained is during that whole time they have their bro's car (a 1971 Dodge Charger thoes were also the times M80's really worked well and the garbage cans were metal with metal lids that you with just 1 M80 would send the lid up above a house fireworks were alot of fun back then especially with metal garbage cans ) up above us in the tree they pulled up there with ropes & chains had their friends car hovering above us in the tree 18 feet in the air & we're underneath the car and I'm kick-starting for the first time a motorcycle. This is in a city neighborhood plenty of parked cars it was only thoes two dudes and they making sure everything was gonna hold wondering if the tree branch was gonna hold or not. There was no one else no trucks nobody sweating. That was my very 1st introduction to motorcycles.I juss wanted to share that with you,all of this matters to me & I'm glad a cool dude like you knows ya know a piece of my story that I think is really Awsome & worth sharing.

Impressive, a beauty so far. certainly leaves me wondering about it's later outcome. Oppositely, sparing history, I just (mid-March 2024 now) removed the MagnaCharger from a springer chopper I have had since 2017. Back to skinny for me, at 71, in Ontario, Canada, and not a mechanic, but learning - on that, your explanations of things are clear. For what it's worth as a wee detail, I know now the MagnaCharger weighs 38 pounds. The large pinion gear on the 'extended' shaft is my next issue, to run w/o the Mag.

Your one of the reasons I got into motorcycles at a young age. The things I could learn from just sitting in your shop. The things I could see and hear! Your one of the true and pure builders!

Live forever brother, but I hope to hell and back you have a couple apprentices learning your trade. It would be a shame if that incredible experience wasn't learned and expanded. Love this channel
