Well done tour of Blowing Rock, especially if you don't know the area. Such a beautifully charming town! I will never go back to Pigeon Forge or Gustaburg ;-) Had my first "beer" at one of the breweries, was a hibiscus ginger beer. A little dangerously delicious ;-)

I love Blowing Rock, I have stayed at the Homestead Inn and it was wonderful.

That's my HOMETOWN. I wish I'd never moved to Hickory, 10 years ago. I keep trying to move back up there. Eventually, I'll make it back. It's almost impossible to get anywhere in winter, if you live on a 'back road'. They are stellar at keeping the 'main roads' free of snow and ice though.
