Today we travel Phuket to Koh Phi Phi in southern Thailand. After 3 weeks of exploring our last province I actually got a little burnt out and so headed to Koh Phi Phi. Whilst there I actually got to see a Whale Shark however I also became infected with a strange skin infection which cut my trip short!

Me too, fall in love with Phuket and didnt want to leave. It’s this happy place with so many things to do. That viewpoint in Phang Nga is called Samet Nangshe. There’s a cafe at another viewpoint nearby overlooking the same view where you can order a drink, sit back and soak in the spectacular view for as long as you want. This viewpoint was one of the highlights of my Phuket trip I did in Dec. Highly rcommend. And of course, Phi Phi. How can anyone miss it. The water was so clear so turquoise and Pileh lagoon is still in my mind all the time. I’m gonna go back to stand on Maya Bay beach next time I am there. Wish you safe and joy in your new journey!

I am glad to see you finally take a little break and have some time for yourself. You have had an amazing journey and can't wait to stop by and visit Maybelle and Ritchie on my next visit. You all seem like very genuine people and have enjoyed watching both or your journeys of life and discovery. I think jellifish and sea lice. Like north Queensland in Australia. Need to dive with a full coverage wetsuit or Skinsuit. In Queensland in many places like out of Whitsundays( Airlee Beach) you need to wear to go swimming. Very good information to know about Phi Phi diving. I have dived KohChang , Phuket and Kai Toa not had that. Surprised Dive shop dod not warn you and offer you a skinsuit??

I had a similar rash in Thailand.. I think mine was from sea lice. I got mine from a life jacket I was made to wear on a ferry I think

About the skin infection.. first of all I really hope it gets better soon! I was watching another RU-vidr days ago (she vlogged her travel backpacking to Thailand) and she also commented that everytime she got out of the ocean her skin was itchy... so, is something about the water?

I had the same thing when I was in thaialnd after taking a dip in the water. It was weird. It will go away if you stay away from the ocean.

Rashes. Not fun! When I was back in Thailand December 2021 for 3 months, I also broke out into a rash. Actually, it was worse -- blisters (chest, shoulders, hands, feet) -- Cause? It was medication I took for a sore ankle. I've recovered. So hang in there. Thailand's medical teams are among the best in the world. // What a wonderful encounter with the whale-shark!! They are gentle giants, but kudos to you for having courage I don't think I could muster. Thanks, Paddy & friends. What a ride this has been! dcb. PS: Wet suit??

Nice video phi phi is a great place. Check on glandular fever mononucleosis. Antibiotics are making it worse and cause even more rash. Cheers

It must have been an allergic reaction to sea lice. It cleared up straight after I stopped diving

Got same recently in Phuket after getting into the water, though not as pervasive on the entire body as with Paddy. Anti histamines applied immediately worked for me and it went away quickly.

Paddy your skin reaction could be related to the diving equipment that you’ve been using. I had a similar reaction to questionably unhygienic boxing gloves of a Muay Thai camp in Phuket. Just a thought. Get well soon mate.

Looks similar to the autoimmune reaction I got when my sweat reacted with the sweat from borrowed wetsuits, which is why I no longer dive in a wetsuit. Nothing a steroid shot at the doctors didn't clear up.

Paddy I have viewed all your videos with Dreamy. Saw your good and not so good times, I'm an older solo female traveller. I am not physically able to ride a motor bike like you but looking at alternative transportations. Bus, train, taxi, daily tour. Your videos have been sooo helpful to see Thailand. Hopefully will be there in October.

Could be dirty drinking water . Only drink bottled water you have opened yourself . I had similar all over skin problem from bad drinking water in thailand

A post-dive itch or change in the colour or texture of your skin, such as a rash or a marbled appearance, may be decompression-related. It's call 'DCS' (decompression sickness) So sorry that your holiday was cut short! Amazing drone shots! Incredible and so beautiful! Hoping 'Next Level' is Vietnam! Buy a decent sized motorbike and start your travels again just for the joy of riding and not worrying if dreamie will run out of oil or make it up the next hill. Talk to Gabi( Ride With Gabi) He has an Africa Twin Honda
