Yeah he’s definitely a tough competitor, very rarely seems to get it wrong.. Pretty much stand in awe watching the magic happen while holding the camera 😁
@@BecauseRacecarOfficial true yeah multiple championships. I'm involved with drag racing too, nothing better than being in close proximity to a blown v8 💪👊🔥. Enjoy
Was pretty awesome being next to them, if you watch closely you’ll see the camera shake during the burnout and the launches.. That was the impact hitting the gimbal not me moving the camera either 😂
That wind was ridiculous, it was blowing the camera around just about the whole time and it was freeeeezing!! Thanks for checking the video out David 👌🏼😁
Thanks Jeffrey! Blue one is a Holden (GM) EH Ute, and the white one is a Holden (GM) Torana! Thanks for watching mate, plenty more coming very soon 😉👌🏼
Wait until you see the next round of racing, we filmed it yesterday so will be out over the next couple of weeks on the channel here.. but oh boy was there some wild passes! Stay tuned 😉👌🏼
Did that red Chevy SS cross @ 9: 40 mark, or touch the white line, because if it did, as you can see the white paint dust come up, he would have lost that run, just saying, but a rear view would have been better still almost lost it and then gave it the stick with a quick time, so just imagine if he/she did not let off the loud pedal ?
I’d have to go and check but there’s a good chance it would have gotten close! If it crossed or touched that’s an instant lose.. These cars are a handful and they definitely have to drive them the whole way 😁👌🏼
Thank you very much for the upload, so hard to get to events when your disabled, meaning that once your there, not much disabled facilities are available? Keep up the great work guys. :)
Thanks for checking it out mate! So the original body was the old Fireman's Quickie Wild Bunch car sponsored by Valvoline. The EH was written off and Alan built a new body with the same style 👌🏼👌🏼
@@BecauseRacecarOfficial oh there you go , I thought it still might of been getting about! I remember that eh Ute when it came to Tasmania for a wild bunch meeting,I was only a young tacker then. Good video to watch I haven’t seen door slammers in years
Awesome mate, was the black 57 the Grinch? It's kind of scary to think that some supposedly factory chassis streetcars are only a couple of seconds off the pace of door slammers these days, and Peter Applebys LC is a gorgeous looking race car!
They look very similar, I watched the Grinch run a 3.89 on the 1/8 don't quote me on the actual time earlier this evening on a livestream over here in QLD, thanks for answering my question mate, I'll have a look at your merch store in the next couple of days, thanks once again...
Who has this kind of money…I can only guess it takes years of hard promoting and work to do these gorgeous, killer cars. I suspect that there are shops that build them, and folks and sponsors that pay for the work/fun
yeah there are periods during the day at this time of year the track starts to build up a bit of dew with the humidity, but even on a dry track these cars still move around a fair amount 😁
Straight up do not care for eighth mile racing. The cars don't even go fast enough to pull the shutes. It's so sad the pros go a thousand feet and every record made will have an asterisk (*) next to it with a footnote "1000 feet, not a quarter mile"
these drag cars are methanol, so everyone near them while running, should have protective masks on 100%, after all you dont want to be inhaling the burnt fuel and gas full stop, just saying?
