Wow, the production engineering is so far beyond what I was expecting. The more you show us about the car the more I’m impressed! Thanks John! Much appreciated! BTW, any man who knows about scrivets must be a production engineer. (Of course, I could be talking complete nonsense, here...) Anyway, cheers again John!
Good job John ! Have some issues with my rear speakers on the XKR, impossible to find same equipment nowadays (2ohms), and some electrical contact issus with the radio it self, I should take it out to check connections ... but a little afraid to take out central console to get to the radio ... Always impressed to the easy looking of watch you do, than when I try to do it, seams to me so complicated ! Take care John !
Hi Peter. Purely for the convenience of a direct swap with correct mounting and power handling characteristics that match the others. It certainly wasn't about originality.
@@ToTheGarage btw, I have a theory that a bad speaker is what killed the amp. When a speaker stops working. It either presents the amp a very low impedances or no load and thus the amp over heats until a part of the pcb fails. Amps when they die never kill speakers silently. You will hear it and certainly smell it. As a result, I would advise replacing the other old aging speakers even if they are working
