Once in the 1970's I was driving down 686 in St. Petersburg, and I noticed a man sitting along the highway side grass, in a lounge chair. I thought, how odd is this !!! A few seconds later, a Blue Angels jet suddenly swooshed about 150 feet right over the top of my car flying at full throttle, upside down! He shot out over Tampa Bay and rolled into a sideways turn, wide open! It was a Day in the Sun! It was a day to remember.
Beautiful. The new Super Hornet Blue Angels. I get to see them in Atlanta this November, 2023. I used to see them every week when Dad was stationed at Pensacola when I was a kid. I can’t wait.
That was AWESOME...never saw 4 wings take off together! Used to watch the Fighters do touch and go at Calverton, and that would take your breath away! I'm in RI now , but that video was ACES!
Driving to Farmingdale on Conklin Street, around the curve through the factory, we alway looked through the factory doors hoping to see something. My dad used to ride his bike to the field in the early 30's to watch DeSeversky put on a flying display on Saturday mornings.
@@scuddrunner1 I had a grandfather figure in my family who punched rivets at Republic from 1940 until about 1980. He worked on everything from the P-47 to the A-10.
@@Chaackaviationandtrainvideos Great video. Thanks for posting. I didn't want to deal with the crowd at the beach, and figured parking would be tight on New Hwy. Your video reminds me that I should have gone.
@@pamcm1098 My daughter used to pass by it when she worked in FMD. I agree, no way I’m going to that zoo at the beach. Then again, there’s no way I’d ever get this view at the fence.
