1:16 Funny you say that... Red Winter (the academy this theme belongs to) is an absolute circus. First the school is led by a tyrannical kid who is backed by a charismatic speaker that dotes on her, the leader of their military/armed guard is a clumsy airhead, and there's a group of protestors that exist just for the purpose of protesting... and labor and pudding right too I guess. Oh and did I say their leader is a kid? What I meant was their leadership changes weekly between the tyrant and their military.
She is NOT a tyrannical kid, she is the student council president of Red Winter Academy, head of beautification, secretary general, head of physical education AND the catering department, and this month's top pudding taster, Cherino!
@@JmonsterNEO That much we know is not true since her character profile mentions she's a third year student. As for her *actual age*, we may never know...
Yeah, the academy these songs are attached to are a total madhouse, almost constantly in a cycle of the two main political factions launching coups on each other with occasional riots from the third worker’s party over *pudding* of all things.
30. Crossfire and 76. Crossfire (Hard Arrange), 29. Alert and 75. Alert (Hard Arrange), 20. Tech N Tech and 74. Tech N Tech (Hard Arrange), 18. Mechanical JUNGLE and 49. Mechanical JUNGLE (Hi-Tech Full On Mix), to Interface and it's Hard Arrange you had already reacted so I thought these will fit too (all of them are KARUT's bangers). These ones are one of the og battle bgms
If there's a theme i want to see that hasn't been on this channel, its OST 136. It's not very long or catchy compared to other songs in the ost, but its a personal favorite of mine because of the story around it. it's also just nice sounding.
Thanks for the insight, I’ve listened to these tracks time and time again and yet I’d never noticed the points you made. Now that I think about it the point you made about cymbals really sticks out, how cymbals are played really does effect their sound. Correct me if I’m wrong but as someone who has played percussion in both a concert and marching setting, the piece gives off more of a concert March feel. This piece felt like it would played on stage in a concert hall, rather than a football field. Though I’ll admit the pieces (especially the first rendition) is lacking some genre specific elements such as a trio (though maybe the breakdown section could count). But with this assumption I can understand why Mitsukiyo chose the percussive samples they did. Also quads/tenors always goes hard but personally I feel like it would stand out too much to the point where it would distract from the melody, or maybe it’s because my ensemble’s tenor player practices way too much DCI music. (This comment is getting too long…, but thanks for all your reviews on the BA music. As someone who was inspired to create music because of these tracks, your insight helps in trying to incorporate these creator’s styles into developing my own. If you haven’t already, could you add Neo City Dive to your list if you haven’t already? Again thanks.)
You're not wrong, concert march would definitely be more apt, but even then, using clash cymbals instead of one on a stand would make more sense. Even comparing the sound to something like William Tell Overture really spells the difference in choices like that. Then that leads to the argument of "if no tenors because concert, why not timpani" blah blah blah haha. I definitely feel the DCI fatigue though. Quads don't HAVE to be a showboat, STEVE. (It's always a fuckin Steve... or Michael). But if you're someone who has in concert and march (same) and you haven't heard that Black and Blues performance I mention, PLEASE do yourself that favor. It's short but oh so sweet.
Red Winter.......a place that is um questionable looks serious but is wild and rather doesn't make sense at the same time makes sense i love the school for comrade's
