My main reason is because Blue Beetle is one of those characters that most people haven't heard of unless you're a die hard DC fan. I work at a movie theater and we wore work issued Blue Beetle shirts to promote the movie encourage people to see it

Im sad this movie didnt do so great in box office becuz i enjoyed this movie a lot. This scene especially was brutally awesome. Becuz normally most of these hero transformations, the hero is usually alone and when they go out uncontrollably, no one knows whats going on. I like that his family is experiencing this chaotic transformation

One detail I like here is how the nanotechnology of the suit really does come across as alien and a bit different from the way such effects are commonly visualized in CG heavy movies today. It's weird and off-putting when constructing things, the product of non-human aesthetic sensibilities.

I agree. Most nanotech transformation is above the skin while the scarab is connected to his spine so it's logical that it would come underneath the skin, growing out to every pores and orifice out of Jaime's body.

Pretty similar...both came from outer space, sentient alien, was held and captured by a scientist or lead person running a team, and eventuall the "chosen" host comes across it accidentally and bonds with it.

A litle late but im very sure the movie dint do to well for 2 reasons: 1- lack of advertisement 2-after all the bad decitions and very awfull movies dc released people kinda lost trust on the studio and thought this whas gonna be mid at best.

I think that since after the Endgame wavering quality of marvel shows and the amount of bad DC movies thats been put out people have become tired of superhero movies and simply wait until they can watch them at home. Cinema tickets have also gotten way more expensive and the inflation is rising so people arnt willing to spend money on cinema anymore. TVs at home and projectors have also become more affordable than ever so thats also a reason why i think alot of people are watching at home now on their 65 - 85 inch TVs

Actually one of the best super hero movies I've seen in a while. Since Shang-Chi. I'm excluding NWH because while i love it, it's carried by fan service. I didn't really enjoy Batman (other than the well done interrogation scene, the movie's lowly saturated atmosphere put me to sleep). This movie was filled to the brim with imaginative creativity and emotion and campiness.

@@Madblaster6To put it simply, its like iron man's helmet inside view effect, its less about giving an actual perspective possible in that small of space, and more just giving a non-possible perspective of the actual facial expressions of the character, since the helmet might not give all the same visible expressions as an actual face in this case.

Kamen Rider in mexico lmao. Jaime might as well say HENSHIN! (also Kamen Rider Kabuto debuted on January 2006. Jaime Reyes debuted in Febuary 2006 before becoming Mexican Gatack in April 2006)
