I look at two "Blue Collar" collections, for people who don't put on a suit to go to work and need a dependable, sharp looking daily watch, plus something to wear when formal occasions call.

I love the fact that your videos focus on more affordable watches. There are plenty of Seiko 5 dress watches out there that fall into this "budget watch" range. I just picked up a Seiko SNKL41 watch for about $80 that is really sharp. The metal bracelet is pretty crummy but I'm going to get a leather strap for it to spruce it up. You should check some of them out. There are plenty of different styles and variations to choose from. They are on the smaller side as they range from 36-39mm but they offer a lot of bang for the buck. Would like to see you do a video on one of them. Keep up the great work.

Hi. I bought a used snkl41, that was as good as new for about 50$.

Great video. For a 3-piece blue collar collection, I might opt for: -A Casio forester (beater). A cheap, field-style watch with 100m water resistance and a nice backlight. ~$25 -Something from the Casio MTP-V005 series (dress watch). I've heard it referred to as the "poorman's dress watch". Could be a good option if you occasionally need something clean and simple, but cannot or don't want to spend a lot of money. ~$25 -This means ~$250 for my main, everyday watch. I could probably buy an Orient Kamasu. Or a Mako/Ray 2 and bunch of extra straps.

I feel very happy with your channel, you have a very good opinion and you're certainly helping me create my own collection. The only unfortunate thing is that I live in Brazil and due to taxes some watches that cost 30$ like the Weekender or the Metropolitan are sold inbetween 100$ and 130$. Sometimes we can find a sweet deal, like an Timex Red Wing Waterbury for 44$, but it's very rare.

Rauv Isn't "Champion" a Brazilian watch brand ? I do own some of them but a bit difficult to find info about them.. ( very good quality and affordable anyway )

Yes it is. There are great brazillian brands like Technos (which used to be based on Switzerland) and Dumont (named after Santos Dumont) which produces great affordable watches, but lately their prices are rising for no reason. If you can send me some photos and info of them, I can look up in my town about it and sent it back to you.

Rauv #1) this is the Champion trophy .. a almost 100% copy of a Casio model so I suspect Champion is part of the Casio factory. it is a rather heavy build watch but no lume at all ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mdOXHrl4Uxk.html #2) the "sapphire" one on the left is a stunningly accurate watch it loses maybe 3 seconds a month and hits right on the indexes.. ( it did cost me only €18,- in a official sale ) the 2nd "sapphire" is a bit less quality the one in the middle is a "TITAN" titanium quartz the "silhouette" Millgauss homage.. bracelet is solid steel including endlinks but the dial and clasp are quite cheap. the "Phantom" motorsport watch is fine and has a excellent rubberstrap the last one "Motion" is also very solid build .. I did switch some of the straps but the watchcases are all stainless. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OzbL833P59I.html

Hey GITMO, that sapphire one is really amazing, they are all so beautiful. However I don't think it's the same brand. The brazillian Champion have a different logo and I haven't heard about they having a sapphire glass watch in their collection. This is more likely to be a more accesible watch brand from Europe itself.

Any suggestions for toolwatches with a bi-directional bezel ?

I Just picked up the white version of this Bulova Marine Star and have been enjoying it (You can see some shots on my instagram on different straps). It has a bi-directional inner rotating bezel, similar to the Nighthawk except it's a simple timing bezel instead of a slide-rule. www.amazon.com/Bulova-Quartz-Stainless-Steel-Dress/dp/B01AJF1KLS/ref=sr_1_1?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1530059507&sr=1-1&nodeID=7141123011&psd=1&keywords=bulova+marine+star Also I beleive the Timex Navi-Ocean has a bi-directional bezel that can function as a second timezone and can also be read as an elapsed time bezel. www.timex.com/navi-ocean-38mm-stonewashed-leather-strap-watch/TW2R75700LG.html

Another option that's sort of an acquired taste would be the Vostok Amphibia, there's a ton of options with them, but I think all of them come with bi-directional bezels. Relative Time has a nice review I'd recommend watching before considering one if you're unfamiliar with them: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-k2z_1dq2v5k.html

Just the Watch Great offer that Bulova, 👍😎 The Timex would also be perfect including the style ( with exception of the price $ 140,- that is a bit steep for this quality ) And yeah I do own some Vostoks ( Admiralski ) with a bi-directional bezel. Actually looking for some flieger / outdoor style with bi-directional bezel

Yeah, I really like that Timex as well, but I can't quite justify the price either. Hoping it comes down in the future.

🖐 I was going to suggest Amphibia, but someone beat me to it. 😁 Are you looking for a 60 minute bezel? Or something else. Most GMTs will bi directional. There was a Timex GMT that is being phased out, but you can still find a few. www.amazon.com/Timex-TWH4Z4510-Intelligent-Quartz-Leather/dp/B06XW6QPJF/ref=swr_wa_1_swr?dpID=51lKDYh9U2L&preST=_SY300_QL70_&dpSrc=detail they are being replaced with the Alied GMT version which is more. Then there is also Seiko Prospex kinetic gmt with a compass bezel. Although it is a bit on the big side. www.amazon.com/Seiko-Mens-Prospex-Kinetic-Watch/dp/B013LJMODM/ref=sr_1_20?ie=UTF8&qid=1530149940&sr=8-20&keywords=gmt+watch

Sick and tired of that SKX. Overpriced anyway. I'd go for the ProDiver instead. That is also, actually, classy looking and a beater watch all at the same time. BTW1: digital watches are for kids. No grown man will take you seriously when you're wearing one of those in a professional environment, or anywhere for that matter. BTW2: you don't need a true dress watch if that isn't your thing. I wear dress shirts & suits every day. Divers, pilots, field, all good, as long as they are 42 mm max, and on a nice bracelet or leather strap. Conclusion: buy the one automatic watch you really want and can afford, with your 300$, put it on a nice strap and wear it proudly.
