It’s gorgeously played but I feel like when the tempo picks up it loses a bit of emotional resonance. The chorus especially needed to breathe a bit-more attention to melody and feeling rather than meter and it would have been perfect.

Coincidentally, my band played the same piece (different arrangement) this year. It was honestly one of my favorite ballads ever.
