This male Blue Eared-Pheasant stands guard while the female feeds alongside in the scrub. This was found at the very last chance saloon while on a tour there in June 2010. As hope was waning I spotted this large blue shape out of the car window, and the rest is history as they say. This had been a nemesis bird for and a long 6 year wait for redemption! The bird was poorly videoed in the Baxi Valley, near the Tibetan town of Ruo Er Gai in Sichuan province. Dreams are made of pheasants like this in Sichuan.
