We LOVE blue flowers! We also love perennials, so when we can have both it is a match made in garden heaven. Today we are sharing some of our favorite blue flowering perennials as we plant, cut back, and give you a tour of some of our low maintenance favorites.
First we are adding three new plants. Magic Show Ever After Veronica and Sweet Romance Lavender from @ProvenWinnersRU-vid and@WaltersGardens. They both offer fantastic color and texture to the garden. The third is Veronicastrum Fascination. This is also called Culver's Root. A North American native, this tall plant will gives incredible color and structure to the garden.
Second on the agenda is maintenance. We start with cutting back Bumblesky Meadow Sage, a crystal blue flower that has given us so much joy. Next we take after some Brunnera to encourage it to send out more giant silver leaves. Last is the biggest chore of the day, cutting back our Walker's Low Catmint. This will encourage a fresh bloom just in time for our garden tour in July.
Third we share a quick walk through of some of our other favorites. Roxanne Geranium, Boom Chololatta Geranium, Heaven Scent Jacob's Ladder, Stormcloud Amsonia, Neptune Catmint, and Totally Stoked Riptide Stokes Aster.
