I am just now Learning about diamond florescence I find it fascinating I love the florescence myself and I’m glad to know that whether you have it or not you can still have a beautiful diamond And thank you so much for the excellent video

how exciting is the fact diamond molecules get excited, since learning this it's the only diamonds I want to buy! Amazing

Many, many gem stones have fluorescence. Especially rubys, emeralds and sapphires.

I’m so glad I found this video I thought a diamond in my late grandmothers ring was fake because it glowed milky white under uv , even momentarily after the light was turned off in a dark room.

Fantastic info. I actually prefer and adore diamonds with blue fluorescence. Just my preference, I suppose.

@@aayushmehta4305 most people are not concerned with resale, if you like it great, I think its desirable. On the market in the past you would pay a premium markets have changed, I dont base my preference on the whims of the market.

Fluorescence in a diamond becomes a problem when you have a jeweller selling you an M diamond with Fluorescence, which is then graded on the certificate as a J,K . Chances are that you have paid more than you needed to. I personally, love fluorescence in a diamond, but I also know the importance of going to a diamond specialist.

diamond grading lights dont have enough uv to cause that much color difference when the diamond is graded faced down , some say it can bump up the grade one grade though. Ive seen M colors with strong and graded it m but when you take it outside it looks FG Color

those blue one's just look better. however, i think you said or someone did, that they really have to be strongly blue to notice a difference.

Isn’t fluorescence in a diamond with an additional element added specifically boron, so isn’t a diamond supposed to be a crystal of carbon? How is any fluorescence good in a diamond, even if it tricks people into thinking their diamond is whiter at the end of of the day is a crystal of carbon with an additional element in it that is not supposed to be there?
@hamishjames2341
@hamishjames2341 2 года назад
yea but diamond color is also caused by additional elements, so you should only get D color as its pure and Type 2 A . Most peopel cant afford that so thats why floro is a good thing
@msk3905
@msk3905 2 года назад
@@hamishjames2341 so what I am hearing is that most can’t afford a pure diamond so make do with a stone that is not 100% a diamond since it contains other elements other than carbon and because this comes from the ground everyone is ok with it. Yet people insist that a pure carbon crystal that is made from carbon in a lab is worth less (some urge worthless) than the fractional diamond that comes from the earth? That is some weird thinking!
@harrymac5229
@harrymac5229 2 года назад
@@msk3905 we are talking about parts per million of nitrogen atoms in the carbon lattice, its naturally and randomly occurring just like the florescence. That’s what makes each diamond unique and have its own natural fingerprint. Is anything pure ? Why do you need a 100% pure carbon diamond, it doesn’t exist even flawless diamonds have inclusions they are just smaller than 60x magnification.
