@@Nimajneb42069 I wouldn't say underrated considering they were called one of the top 3 best pitching team in the league last year. Their pitching and defense was accurately rated...and so was their offense. It's just their offense stunk.

It feels like every year, the Jays have an ace who struggles. Let's hope with Gausman it's just rust and not a season long thing like with the other aces.

That's why their offense needs to avoid stranding so many runners in scoring position. They fizzle out with runners on second and third, and have been capitalizing on poor fielding to get themselves over home plate. When they go up against other teams with better infields they have a much harder time putting points on the board. Keep the bats swinging and bring guys around the bags to take the pressure off their bullpen and closers.

Stop whining. Runs are gonna be scored no matter who is pitching. No one is gonna have an ERA of 0.0

Go and look at how many saves Romano has had in each of the last two seasons. He's a top-five closer in the league for a few years running. You need to be "punished" for your comments

theres been about 4-5 errors this year that have been super costly for the pads.

Yet another random internet user who completely misunderstands what I wrote and turns it into a big deal🙄 What I meant was, plate discipline has improved on this team a lot over the past few games. This is helping them score runs early and get a lead. Then, even if they’re unable to add on to that lead later in the game, they’ll have great pitching to hold the other team at bay. It’s really not that hard hahaha

Yeah bit of a rocky start to his year but he was a super reliable 8th inning dude last season so I think he'll find his stride eventually

@@bustmust my view is the manager doesn’t really understand baseball or his players. Not good. Any games we win this year will not be because of clever managerial decisions during the game. All the ones we lose will be because of those very dodgy decisions.

He probably did, because slamming the bat down on it's own isn't enough to say he's frustrated with the call. But after he slams the bat, the ump points to it and gives him a warning. So there must have been something said before the bat slam. But because there was a warning, when Profar slammed the helmet down, albeit not as forcefully, the ejection was practically fait acomplis.

@@breez783 You could see the ump's mouth move during the point so there was a verbal warning as well. I'm sure we'll get something from CCS outlining this. To your point though, I agree it was very quick and Profar probably did not have time to react accordingly. We don't have the context of what Profar said to him though (maybe there's enough for Jomboy to lipread, but it's not a New York team so I doubt he'll bother) so that may have helped to trigger the quick ejection.

Yeah maybe, but he didn't leave the batter's box like you're supposed to. He stayed there and started undressing.

@@stevewilson5402 I getcha. I'm not going outright and gunna say the ump was wrong per se, we don't know what the verbal exchange was. It was just really fast. I agree with @breez783, it was really quick between warning and ejection. Steve's right, he didn't leave the box like he's supposed to. But it's stuff you see all the time from other players. I dunno, it just felt off. It was an atypical ejection. I never played pro or anything, but I don't generally argue with officials myself.
