BLUE LOCK
Blue Lock was originally designed to create the perfect striker for Japan, but that all changed after the Blue Lock vs Japan U20 Match!
After Blue Lock won against the Japan U-20 match, Jinpachi Ego was given complete control over the Japan U20 Team thus creating the Neo Egoist League! Neo Egoist League is the final selection of the Blue Lock Project in preparation for the U-20 World Cup.
Ego brought all the players of Blue Lock and former members of the Japan U20 team to participate in the NEL. These players are now given the opportunity to earn spots for Jinpachi Ego’s Japan U20 team.
The Neo Egoist League has ultimately changed the original design of Project Blue Lock. Now Blue Lock players can survive by playing in other positions.
Because of this new opportunity, we have seen many players in the NEL shine as goalkeepers, defenders and midfielders. Being a striker is no longer a requirement in Project Blue Lock!
The NEL has changed the whole dynamic of Project Blue Lock and we are thankful for it! We get to see players in other positions get some recognition and it amplifies the entire experience of Blue Lock!
That being said, which players are the best in their retrospective positions? Who is the best defender? Who is the best midfielder? AND Who is the best striker in Blue Lock?
We have our own ideas and some of these positions and today we will share that with you!

I feel like Shidou is in the exact same position as Barou, both of them are just completely built to be a striker, but there is really nothing I would disagree with, truly a banger🔥

@@oneautumnleaff2119 In the video they said "Pure goal scorer that relentlessly attacks the goal with strong shooting ability". With this definition it has to be Shidou. It's both right and wrong, since strikers still has to have some kind of ability to get infront of the goal, but if a striker's only job is to score, then it's Shidou no questions. There ARE better strikers if we're going for the whole package, but if we only look at scoring, Shidou is the greatest.

There definitely can be some good arguments made for either Rin or Barou. Both are definitely great at what they do and offer different elements of play when out on the field. I guess it really depends on what you want out of your striker

Both are absolutely world class players and deserve all the credit. The main decider for us was the context in Noel Noa acknowledging Barou as a striker. Besides that it was a really tough call because both of them are amazing!

"What the team needs" is definitely the key element here. Barou is the best in Blue Lock at utilizing weaker or more defensive players (he solo-carries the offensive line), and if he could get a good midfielder to back him up, his shooting potential would go through the roof. Rin is impressive when he's pared with a strong offensive line, since every member an opponent would have trouble stopping is a tool for him to get the ball to the goal. Surprised Shidou didn't come up in this conversation based on his U20 performance, but if he has a team that can handle him, the only way to stop him is to keep the ball out of his reach. And Isagi, despite having a talent for offensive midfielding, is using his talent for adaptability to be the striker a team needs to score goals, meaning he'll fare well in the striker position regardless of which talented players are backing him up.

Rin is the best choice for the striker position. He has the best shooting accuracy and range and Rin is also a contender for having the most shooting power. He’s also the greatest finisher having scored 4 goals in 30 min in the past 2 games.

Barou has more goals in less games than Rin in the NEL. Plus Noel Noa acknowledged him so we decided to go with Barou. Its our current opinion but it could change depending how the rest of PXG vs BM goes.

@@hikikostudios Barou has played 3 and rin excluding the current match has played 3 difference is rin had to swap with shidou 2 games so he basically played so he probably played the equivalent of 2 full games not 3 and when shidous on the pitch he has to share, barou and rin both have 5 confirmed goals but debatable barou 7 and rin 6 so barou in more playing time with less accuracy, 11 players helping him for a full match, a better system and manager whilst not having any other competitive attackers on his team barou has got 1 more unconfirmed goal but has 2 wins to rins 3 there’s a reason rin is valued more and rin is more versatile doesn’t make him less of a st he’s just better than barou in any position

I’d definitely pick Shidou over Barou. Before the U-20, Ego made it clear that every goal he scored was due to his own skill, and that there’s no one in Blue Lock who could have matched his ego. He’s also a higher scorer than Barou who could be used with others unlike Barou who pretty much demands a team be revolved around him solely and has still come up short several times.

I can see where you are coming from. In our opinion, we thought Barou had some of the best individual character development in the NEL. He reigned as Ubers King and received a offer from the club themselves. He is currently top goal scorer with 7 goals while only playing 3 out of 4 NEL matches. He even got recognition from the world's best striker, Noel Noa. So it felt more right to choose Barou in our opinion.

hot take but i think Barou is slightly overrated. So far hes been kinda "spoon-fed" the ball as his team centers around him as the only striker while strikers from other teams have other people to contend with to score. Thats why i would pick Shidou over Barou.

Great takes The amazing thing about football is that many bluelockers can be the best striker depending on the team playstyle and requirements. Nagi is a target man with good touch and physicallity like Berbatov or Van Basten. Barou and Shidou are pure 9s with their instints and high volume of shots like Haaland or Puskas. Isagi is a second or shadow striker, relaying more on his positioning and shooting like Raul or Muller. And Rin is a perfect false 9 or trequartista like Totti or Pelé. Maybe Rin is the best player but as you said, Barou is the one who represents a pure striker.

isagi understands his teammates’ weapons that he uses them to the fullest to his advantage to score himself. that’s literally what a striker is supposed to, bring the best out of his teammates to allow himself to score. he creates a future no one can catch up to and with direct shot it is a guaranteed goal every single time. he literally has 100% shot accuracy. his main focus is to get in position that no one can see. a striker is not supposed to be playing footsie in the box, a striker's job is to score goals not be a five star skiller

Although you picked Chigiri as a winger, which I can agree for the reasons you said but I think Rin is just the guy for that position. He has insane physique, speed, touch, dribble and to back it all up he's probably among the most consistent goalscorers in blue lock apart from Barou and Shidou. Idk if you skipped it on purpose or by mistake but central midfielders have a different role than defensive and attacking midfielders. And for that position I'd say it has to be Reo. His ability to copy anyone's ability is just frightening. You have a great sense of football I'd say 👍🏼.

Barou is a pure st but he needs a perfect passer to help him score but nagi doesnt need a perfect pass to control and shoot he can even handle a rough pass like a piece of cake and shoot it. But he is not a brute like baruo. And rin ain't a striker he is more of a CF because of his passing skills. So it would be barou or nagi who r perfect for a st. But cannot forget about shidou he is a st too but he need a player to understand his gamestyle.

Nagi needs a partner to fully utilize his abilities as a ST. All of his best plays are with Reo or Isagi creating and Nagi finishing.

If this is only Japanese players I would agree with picking Aiku as a CB but Don Lorenzo is the best CB, . Kaiser also feels like a more complete player than Barou, there is nothing that Barou can do that Kaiser cant while Kaiser has much better feats than Barou while Lorenzo basically won the 1 on 1 against Kaiser It is important to keep in mind that players that are not from Blue Lock are not listed on the list of values

@@hikikostudios Yeah ik but he's by FAR the best LB in the NEL and it's not even close. Whereas you could say put Bachira, Nagi, Rin, Shidou at that position and all of them could give something similar to Chigiri. But in the LB spot there's no one aside from MAYBE Yukimiya on a good day on the LB spot. He can track back, defend, catch stray balls, assist, and score like a Marcelo or Carlos type. Kurona is great to but he's an NPC by choice

Purely hype, when we first made this video, Charles was deemed the best passer and playmaker in the NEL. So cannily we chose Charles for that reason.

When it comes to barou the biggest factor is that he is a complete striker. Lets look at it this way shidou is more like haaland where gove him a cross and he will score it breaking his whole body doing flips and shit and headers. Rin is perfect as a false 9 CF having that space is perfect cause he can distribute and open spaces or take shots himself While barou is an offensive juggernaut he a ronald he wont strive in a false 9 cause he is too aggressive he may not be a good target stiker like shidou but he can do all that he is basically a complete striker he can do volleys (not crazy shidou shit) he can dribble and break the line (may not be as good as rin) but his potential is off the roof he is good and can do everything all he needs now is more exp and training from snuffy and he will and can be better than both shidou and rin

If you could draft isagi for any position, it would be mf. However, if I had a team of 10 and my last choice was either isagi or barou for striker, *im taking isagi*. Just because barou is “more of a striker” doesnt mean isagi isnt still a better striker. Isagi is so much better than barou at this stage in every aspect of soccer; it’s like drafting jordan or rudy gobert for center. Is gobert “more” of a center? Yes, but am I still taking michael? Of course.

Tbh most Americans aren’t at that level in terms of footballing ability. American U20 is kind of a stretch. European and South American most likely are most of NEW GEN 11 ( plus japanese icon Sae )

@@hikikostudios that’s is wrong cuz America may not have much history of soccer like Brazil or Europe but America is home of some pretty good players and I believe America should have a member of the next Gen 11

Wouldn’t say Rin claps Barou because whenever Barou and Rin played together or went against each other. Both of them were able to prove to get better of each other. Barou got the best of Rin sometimes and Rin got the better of Barou sometimes.
