I heard these guys perform at a park near my brother's house in Elora Ontario. I could only see a small section of stage but the audio boomed out up the hill to where we were. Great sound!
I just stumbled on this... so cool! I so want to see them live here in Colorado... This was one of my 74 year old Mamma's favorite bands... Unfortunately, she passed in 2014 from Cancer. We played your music at her Celebration! Just brings back so many memories of her~ Five Days in May. Her fav! Thank you!

This is what makes 'You Tube'; finding groups like Blue Rodeo. Then we become frustrated in the UK, as they do not have the fan base to tour and we do not get the chance to hear their wonderful music. TY 'You Tube'. :-))
Blue Rodeo....they are with doubt the most unique, talented bands ever to come out of Canada. There is nothing like their music anywhere ...and as their name suggests, are somewhere between blues and folk rock.
Never saw them live.. I'm jealouse of all these comments who saw B.R. LIVE. BUT... I remember having all there cassettes in my company van sterio when I went to work in northern Manitoba . I would travel 8 plus hrs on the highway to my job. REALLY... I was listening to B.R. AND G. L. . Loved the lyrics and songs about people in small towns etc. I passed thru the small towns and worked in them and drank in there local watering holes. B.R. .....your songs are real and make me feel real , sad , and happy. I started looking up old girlfreinds to make amends. Hahaha LOL. NEVER THOUGHT THIS WOULD HAPPEN. Got sick of the pattern. The rest is history. CHEERS! HAPPY HOLIDAYS 2021 TO 2022.
Check out Kaslo Jazz Festival. Saw Blue Rodeo there in 2003. You couldn’t ask for a more beautiful location. Stage on Kootenay Lake with the Purcell Mountain range as the backdrop! Was a phenomenal concert with many other fantastic bands! Hard to fathom that was 21 years ago now.
After The Rain ...wish i was there live to see that ... one of the best versions ive seen ... could listen to BR all day long ... oh, yeah, that's right i DO!!
Saw them at the new and great OLG Stage in Niagara Falls, Canada. Sound was unbelievable even up in the 3rd balcony. OLG Stage built a marvelous venue to hear music, and Blue Rodeo delivered.
I will add another positive comment because I play this video frequently as a "best" live concert of Blue Rodeo I know of. I especially like the Harmonica mix up at 11:56 which is very quickly corrected by the band by the slide of 1 fret of a Capo. Gold. Live Gold. Bare None.
Wonderful! The most underated band of our days - must be Canadian *wink*. Get yourselves to Vancouver Island asap - Gotta hear you live ONCE before I die! Many thanks Gene for bringing this to us -WTH? 5252 hits on RU-vid, dang world is missing so much!!
I Love Blue Rodeo and when I heard them I thought and wished they could have played at my wedding!! I cannot get enough of their music and lyrics. I saw them "live" at a large venue in the "KEE to BALA" and my feelings for them grew. I cannot wait until their new music hits the stores!!
Thank you to the person who did such a fine job of recording this concert! BR is so good live, and you have captured them so well. I can't tell if the audience sang along, but here in Ottawa, we sure do, making a BR concert a very communal event.
jim cuddy and gregg keelor are the best band in canada as were the guess who in their time what can l say l'm canadian and verty proud to see our talented musicians and actors excel in what they do blue rodeo are the beatles of the 21st century.
Blue Rodeo is number 2 on my bucket list, aurora borealis is number 1. I'm 55yrs. old and will be crossing my fingers and singing my ass off until I come face to face with Jim and Greg! Please come to TEXAS guys.
Please come Back to to Niagara Area! We are not Lame! Lewiston NewYork and Niagara Falls Canada! We are Louder and Prouder! St Catharines too! Thanks to One of Canada's great Rocker's!
My favorite part is the between songs transition at about 11:45 when Jim appears confused because his harmonica isn't sounding right... until the strumming Greg realizes he hasn't moved his capo to shift song keys.
***** It was a drunk C&W audience 2/3 of whom got up and wandered off as Blue Rodeos set started. I couldn't effing believe it. On the other hand I was able to go right up to the front in the VIP section.
