Thank you BTW for setting good example and wearing life jackets. Ego prevents 99% of boaters in this inlet from wearing them. Those kids were hauling the mail for sure and clearly grew up on the water and behind the wheel of a boat. Dang. Mad skills and bravery. The boys in the other Whaler handled the water like pros too. Nice to see young people doing something besides taking selfies.
They never used to wear them why do you think they are famous on here not because of their boat , but because it's girls In bikinis. Most people on here could care less about this boat if it was all males or if the woman were always dressed and not in bikinis.
@@bhurley20 Or maybe it's because they've only spent a couple grand on their little boat, clearly have mad skills, and handle the waters better than people spending tens (hundreds?) of thousands on boats 3+ times the size?
This is the difference between being a skilled boater and just owning a boat!!! Problem solving on the roughest waters!! Good job girl! Dads everywhere are proud of you!!
@@officialWWM they’re just young and growing up in Florida. Going through a phase in their life right now to just have fun and honing in on their skills. Not yet pro status but learning and pushing it to the limit. People get older and wiser, and have more foresight. They will get there eventually but let them live it up right now
@@officialWWM Pfft, this is nothing compared to a lot of the stupid crap I did as a kid. Like taking a boat with nothing but a compass and running 28 miles of open ocean (like actual open ocean, not like Florida's 'ocean') from where I lived to the local island here in SoCal at 2 in the morning after telling my parents I was going to a sleepover at a friends house. I'm still here to tell the tale.
The captain knows how to run a boat in heavy seas. Make no mistake, there is real and serious danger involved in what she's doing but if she stays focused she'll make it. She definitely has the goods.
I do not see anyone deny her talents, and maybe even good focus, But what about the other idiots on the water that do not have the skills, or the focus, what do you think will happen when the two meet?
These girls need their own channel! Too much fun. It's great to see kids being kids and having the time of their lives. Even minor issues won't slow these girls down. Blue Top Legend forever!
Boston Whaler need to step up and sponsor these girls. The boat operator will someday have a 70-90 foot enclosed fly bridge sport fisher and run the best fishing charter in the area.
Because she drives her boat fast over waves she's going to have a huge charter boat someday? I don't see the correlation. I mean anybody could do that if they wanted to beat themselves and their boat up. Not exactly sure what it is that she's doing that you think is so wonderful.. Anybody could drive their both that fast if they wanted to beat the crap out of themselves.
I believe Wavy Boats should sponsor or just donate to Blue Top Legend, to get their most loved boat back in action as fast as possible. They're a legend, on top of that they're living... They flagged up for y'all, show them y'all appreciate it.
Those kids are fearless and it looks like tons of fun. While the boy looks like he is a good swimmer, I believe it was risky to jump in the water without a PFD to swap the lines, in those conditions and in this particular situation: The boats are pitching strongly with sufficient force to knock you out, should they hit your head. One can go under real fast when unconscious.
@@thomaslamb8337 This is truth ...I pulled off hundreds of legend activities in my youth and now my back hurts everyday...the only thing I wish is that I could still be doing it ...especially in front of the blue top legends ..gotta show off and take chances , that's just the way it is
I'm with this. Hell, the life/work vest (I've had thousands of hours in them) is one of the best abrasion, protection layers you can get out there. What if he tapped his head on the way in... Nope... This sucks... since the engine issues are probably due to the mischief... No Bueno.
Lucky that Blue Top Legend was saved by Topless Silver Bullet... The latter not being nearly as cool but helpful nonetheless. Sort of like Robin to Batman
Theres something yall should know about Masons aka Freemasons they are a Sick Satanic Cult I also have TOP SECRET information for you who are familar with the 🔯Gangsta Disciples🔯 gang also known as G's they share very similar Knowledge Belief's & Rules the men that are inolve are highly homosexuals no disrespect to the Gangster Disciples.........
I’ve been in a mechanical rescue situation with another large boat. One of their passengers decided to jump into the water, and nearly had his head crushed between our two boats. The fenders were out, and that gave him a fraction of a second to get out of the way. The fenders squished together just enough to keep the boats from colliding, but not enough to protect his coconut. Don’t compound a bad situation.
Absolutely, never enter the water unwilling, and if you do for God sake keep your lifejacket ON..that young man had it on in the boat, should be zipped up, then takes it off to enter the water..
@@skipanderson798 what an idiotic thing to say. Theres some really dangerous people out there who have no business on the water! Theyre not just endangering themselves but everyone in their vacinity! These videos make that abundantly CLEAR. You can see more people WITHOUT PFDs than with them and as for this fucked up inlet? It ought to be dredged and filled with sand! I cant imagine gheres no other boat ramp or marina from which one csn put yheir boat in. Im not a pro boater , nor am I an amateur but I wouldnt risk that inlet. Yet these boneheads are in bow riders, no life jackets, probably been drinking, and too small a boat, and going like the fevils chasing them! Theyre only getting thru that inlet on Gods good humor. So Skip sorry to ruin your fun but just maybe we who are giving advice just might say something that sticks with someone and keeps them from killing themselves, their children, or somebody else....maybe YOU!
Some folks are blue top legends...but 99% of them are not ...don't try this yourself..when you got blue top legend blood cursing though your veins ...you just know
Love how nobody was panicking. Just doing things that make sense to get them out of a situation. I know full grown adults that can't operate under stress as well these "kids" did.
I just think they don't realize the danger, which is why kids have more fun. But that is a little dangerous for them and anyone who might be summoned to rescue them. Hey that boat can't last much longer so ease your minds. lol
Drew Smith at least someone acknowledges how dangerous this is. There very lucky we all did foolish things when were young but people are encouraging them. Eventually God forbid someone could be killed it's stupid
I grew up riding boats like this with my friends. Just pure fun all summer. My friend's parents had a 45 foot Princess, which we rode around at 15 years old. People looked at us all the time since we were a bunch of kids on board this large million (local ccy) boat. Riding around in the small boats with 30 hp, hopping from small "islands", beaches etc vs the large fancy boat, the small one would beat the large anytime as a kid. The large one was very expensive so we had to be careful, which took a lot of fun out of it.
Absolutely love how they're always just having fun! Legends are not made by being handed top place. True legends always fall from the top, however, what makes them a legend is watching them never quit. I hope I'm still watching these girls when they're in their 30's.
Reminds me of being young and driving boats in the Navy. Rough water just made it all more exciting. We knew there was danger, just didnt always know where it might come from. Part of the learning process.
I'm not all that worried about the guy without a jacket, he seems capable enough, and there were three boats with multiple people to help out if something happened.
Exactly. I have lived in NSB my entire life, and can't count the hours of ocean experience I have. I'd jump in without hesitation. If BTL is hanging out with him he's gotta be a real Florida man anyways.
Fr that was me on the other whaler I only followed them out bc I thought they were going die out there and my friend decided to hop on with them lmao then there fucken engine broke down right next to the beach it was pretty sketchy but it was pretty lucky that we were out there
WEAR a life jacket at all times in OPEN OCEAN rescue situations. No matter how strong of swimmer, waves and boats equals opportunity to get hit in head and knocked unconscious. Life jacket keeps you from sinking and can quickly get rescued. As always SAFETY FIRST. In this case BOCA INLET WON
"What do you guys think about the guy in the water with no life jacket" I think its hard to swim with a life jacket on. It's a survival tool, and he's not trying to survive. He had it on when it counted, i.e. when they're hitting the inlet hard and there's a chance that something could go wrong. He's got three boats around him. Not a problem I'd say.
@@pietvelkens219in the US, we tend not to just leave swimmers overboard to drown, and laugh about it on our way in. It's true you don't see him again after towboat US takes over, but I suspect he got in the other Boston Whaler. It seemed to me that the blue top legend and towing Boston Whaler were together.
@@BoltRM 0:24 and again. I'm sure he got into the original towing boat. They appeared to me to be boating as a group. We don't usually leave people to drown and then laugh about it on our way back in under tow
I completely understand and know that lifejackets are uncomfortable in the water, but it is really dangerous to swim even if 3 boats are around without one. Take for example if the curent decides to pull him underwater or because of cold water body gets sudent shock that can easily kill you. And if this happens and you have a lifejacket on its easy to save you. And I'm not blaiming the guy just some things to think about.
Yep. Dad thinks his sweet little wonderfuls are just out idling around. Not flying his whaler in six foot swells. Then he finds out they’re RU-vid stars and what they’re actually doing. Instead of putting a stop to it, he makes them wear life jackets.
A PFD that while working with lines that close to pitching and rolling boats could be a lifesaver or a life taker. Boat comes down a knocks you out without a PFD, you might drown. But if a boat comes down on you while wearing a PFD there could be enough resistance to being submerged to break your neck. To me it is six one way half dozen the other. :)
Jerome I have been in the boating business my entire life, I’m 64 btw.. The instincts that that young lady possesses cannot be bought or taught it’s something you’re born with.
@@jerometremblay7128 Although your comment does have some truth, it also clearly indicates that you've never piloted a boat and even less under these conditions. .
She really is a legend. For real. Love watching them tear it up. I could probably learn a thing or 2 from her. Hope they stay safe and continue having a great time.
That captain does a great job of reading the waves to adjust throttle. On the way in, you see she's riding the backs of the waves, pacing the waves. On the way out, she's running faster to skip from wave top to wave top to avoid ploughing down in between oncoming waves.
As long as BTL guy is an advanced ocean swimmer, like myself, I totally approve. If you need to manuever quickly while in the water, then no life jacket is definitely the way to go. I have been in similar situations.
“An advanced ocean swimmer LIKE MYSELF… “. Yeah, they can’t get knocked unconscious when a boat hull strikes their head. Must be the merit badge that protects them
@@drdrew3 Anyone who defines themselves as "an advanced ocean swimmer," by definition, doesn't need a life jacket much less a helmet as their head is hard enough to withstand any blow...
@@drdrew3 You clearly have no background as an experienced swimmer of any type and haven't spent time around boats or in the ocean. If you can't manage to avoid banging your head on a boat, please stay away from the water.
Very impressive display of seaworthiness of the Boston Whaler mini boat. Congrats to pilot, photographer and Boston Whaler. Would definitely be my choice in my income bracket.
Thanks Wavy Boats!! Great story!!FYI the silver Whaler is my son Mad Max Jones! The 1990 17 whaler is an FPC Resto-mod Project 1080 Mini Me 😎 proud of my 15 year old Max🌞
They don't need to.. these videos show what they can do.. why sponsor a couple of drunk people going in and out an inlet just to be on RU-vid.. doesn't make responsible sense..
@@bowandarrowindian3704 Contrary to what some people believe, a life jacket is not normal swim attire. It's what you wear when there is a substantial risk of being ejected at speed where you may be injured or rendered unconscious and it will take minutes at minimum to get assistance to you. That was obviously not the case here - highly unlikely he's going to be rendered unconscious in this scenario, and with multiple people with eyes on him a life jacket would be stupid. Disclaimer: I spent my teen years in FL, and yes - I can in fact swim in my sleep. Back then I also free dove on a wreck at 90'.
Boston Whaler should really get on the ball and sponsor these ladies. Show people what the small boats are capable of, then just imagine what the big boats can handle!
She's entertaining to watch. Glad she knows she's legendary. Unlike red top who doesn't have any idea tons of people are watching him. She comes out just for us killing it and putting on a show. Love it. How her repairs don't slow her down too much. Absolutely entertaining to watch.
@@BlueTopLegend I’m Skip Anderson. My dad was Andy Anderson - on the design team for the first Whaler tri-hulls. He was in the Life magazine photo-spread with Dick Fisher, owner of Fisher-Pierce. Where they cut the boat in half. These ladies make me all warm n fuzzy ‘down there’ to watch them do the things my dad did almost 60 years earlier. Part of pop’s job - try to break that boat - never did!!!
That motor has been through lots of brutal RPM changes between being airborne and landing back in the water. How ironic that it was finally taken down by some criminal submerging it. It survived many battles only to be mortally wounded while it was sleeping peacefully.
While I understand what you're saying....if you watch the videos they are featured in, the capt tries to work the throttle when the boat flies out of the water. I'm sure it isn't perfect though.....
@@michaelfromRhodeIsland I agree about the good throttle control on BTL but like you say it's hard to match perfectly. Good technique on the power definitely separates skilled captains from the wallowing bow-stuffers trailing dock lines overboard and whatnot.
oh my lol... i used to luv going on boat rides in my teens, twenties and up to forties, but in my fifty's the boat has to be over 100ft and even then, it has to be a clear day...lol
If he knew he was a strong swimmer, and with three boats right there, it was probably a low risk thing to do. But, had it been me, I'd have snagged a jacket first.
Jackets are great at keeping you alive But they really hamper your movement and speed That close to shore and all those boats around id ditch the life jacket straight away It's really tiring spinning a distance in one If I was in the middle of the ocean then I'd def take one though Great if your on the boat and might get knocked out in an accident as well
I have been in waters like this without life jacket with no problem. Everything in life is risk versus benefit. Americans are getting more and more afraid of everything. It's kind of sad. Maybe just stay at home with the covers over your head. Lol If something happens to me it was my choice.
Message to whoever messed with blue top: you are a coward, and the blue top whaler will not make you a better boater. It’s the skill of the operator that makes blue top the legend. Hope you’re caught soon.
Yes sir spot on goes with everything, when I first watched the Bluetop Legend I was wondering why so fast, not being a boater. But then I read some comments and understanding why now. That Captain is a legend for sure..hats off to her father and Mother for raising a true Legend.
All these land sharks saying he should’ve had a life vest on have obviously never tried to tie a rope in the water with a vest on 😂 that boy is 1/3 dolphin he’s from Florida 🤣
Teenagers bro! - I was loading my boat on a slanted sand ramp and asked my nephew to run out from the line from under the stern. "No problem!" He jumps in the water and swims under the boat lol... me and another old guy eyebrows up, jaw dropped laughing on the dock lol
That captain has some great skills...even the old sharks would think twice going out with such a small boat. 👏👏👏 Excellent for watching and learning how to manage big waves. Who would thought that small 50hp Yamaha can push that hard.
Who would have thought that a channel that specializes in viewers watching multi million dollars boats, would be captivated by a $4,000 20 year old! But I Love It! We should start a go fund me for a new Yamaha 4 stroke for them!!!!
OK mum, time to worry. There's a boy on the boat 😂 Very glad to see the girls finally wearing jackets, if only the young lad had enough sense to wear his corectly! Once he jumped in however it would have been a PITA, three boats there, no issue. Looks like it's time for a Go Fund Me page for a new outboard for the mighty little Whaler.
No it's nice still hearing a two-stroke out there it's four strokes are too quiet. The old Yamaha 50 probably has tons of hours on it. And if not for some a hole trying to steal it probably still be running
Her Dad is thinking, 10 more hp and they wont have a boat left lol, And to the turd that tried to swipe the boat and pulled the plug, I wish you nothing nice!
I have to give major props to the crews on BOTH Whalers. I have been in several ocean situations that were scary and dangerous and having the ability to remain calm is a skill that saves lives. Both crews looked so relaxed and they displayed very good boating skills for being so young. Who ever mentored the crews should also be given props. BTL is definitely a legend. That engine will be repaired or replaced very soon after this video.
Yea I've seen many boats fill up with sand and quickly ruined by beaching in heavy surf. Happens very quick and once full of sand/water there's not much that can be done. They did well in a tense situation.
Glad they are okay. The swimmer most likely grew up as a "water baby". We used to have a cabana at the Ivanhoe Hotel, and never gave it a second thought about going into the ocean, but after the movie JAWS, I stuck to the swimming pool.
Exactly people don’t understand some of us grew up swimming in water much worse than this and it’s no big deal a life jacket would make it hard as hell to swim
