What an amazing experience you had. I once saw a 3 blue whale pod from my airplane as we flew out for Maui. They are huge and we were pretty far up in the air by then.

What if the Whale flips the boat UNKNOWINGLY using the tail if it's in a hurry.

Terrible filming

Magnificent and majestic animal, but I find it terrifying how the whale literally camouflages to the water. I mean just imagine having a peaceful swim in the water minding your own business and next thing this enormous being is nearby.

Whales are so peaceful mammals.even tho they are so colossal,they will not attack humans but just small fishes.

Impressive for you. Nightmare for me

I’m pretty sure that was indeed a blue. What a magnificent opportunity to encounter such a massive creature.

And I thought the age of the dinosaurs was awesome.

This is the sht that keeps me out of the oceans... a weird looking grey sausage casually swiming under your little boat...

I remember seeing whale documentaries as a kid on TV where the documentary makers had, and I'll quote their own words "Work ahead of the harpoon ships" because back then the only way to find whales to make a documentary about, was to ask whalers where to find them. How times have changed. (And thank GOD for that!)

I remember a few years ago I was on a whale watching ship near Boston and all these amazing huge whales were breaching and I was like “.. if one of them jumps onto our boat, we are completely screwed “ and it terrified me, as beautiful as they were.

Humans should be thankful to God that these whales are not killers. Had they been killers and hunters the ocean would be a graveyard for alot of people

That whale was definitely NOT a blue whale. It was a humpback whale. Blue whales would NEVER come so close to kayaks. Instead, they would just swim away. Humpback whales, on the other hand, are very inquisitive, and they would definitely interact withi kayakers.
