Good video. I love seeing that country. Alma Mesa had always been on my bucket list of area's to hunt. Unfortunately, father time, and bad knee's, means I will never get there without horse's. Im not much of a horse person. Clay Gomez of DC outfitters told me years ago, that there are big bulls in the Alma Mesa area .
I always heard that it holds big bulls too, like I said I need to go back and explore it some more, while my knees still work, mine are starting to hurt also. Maybe I will go back in this spring thanks for watching, I did hear from a old forest service worker that a 400+ was poached out of Alma Mesa years ago
I was in one helping my 15 year old son we saw 20 something bulls most were busted up, there were a lot of busted bulls, some locals even turned in there tags cause of that, but my son wanted to go he had fun and he missed the 6 by 7 nice bull, in the cedars, but he was okay with that, friend of mine did get a nice 345 ish bull in 27 it was busted would have been 360
My in-laws live in Alpine and have done a little exploring in the area, but I really enjoy your videos because you go places I could never get my fat arse into. Funny you had the onions to stick your head in that bear den. I sure hope you’re carrying a big sidearm. 😂😂😂
