Blue Yeti Nano Setup on Windows 11 [Best Settings] 

After getting a few comments on why peoples Yeti nano's aren't picking up any audio I have made a list of potential fixes: - If the microphone isn't being picked up under an input device in the windows 10 sound settings try to connect the nano to a different usb port, it could be possible that the specific usb port is broken. - Make sure that the microphone is selected in the input devices tab in the sound settings as it is possible that the wrong device is being picked up by windows 10 if you have say a webcam mic connected. - Check that the recoding software and the microphone sample rate and bit depth are the same (for instance both set to dual channel, 24bit 48 kHz) in the recoding software settings and the sound control panel by selecting on the device and the advanced tab. - Make sure that under sound control panel > microphone properties > levels, that the output volume of the microphone is turned up to a audible level and that the mute button is not active. - In sound control panel > microphone properties > listen, click listen to this device, choose your default output device, be it headphones, speakers etc. and click apply. Then speak into the mic to test that the microphone is picking up audio by windows. If it is being picked up by windows then it is most definitely a problem with the 3rd party software that you are trying to record audio with. Check that software's settings and if you are still having problems then it could be a bug with the software, which in that case you should contact their support. - In sound settings > app volume device preferences, make sure that the input device is selected to the yeti nano for the chosen application you are trying to record with. I hope this helps fix any issues, comment below if you are having any more difficulty.

My microphone was picking up a ton of background noise, but it turns out i just needed to set the audio! thank you, without this video i wouldn't have been able to make my videos have quality in audio.

for some reason I just cant get the Nano to work. My computer just isn't picking up the mic no matter what i do, the green light and everything is on, but it just wont connect. I've tried everything in my power and I just don't know what to do anymore.

My biggest problem with the mic is how the cardioid mode can pick up my keyboard JUST as loud as without it. (I have red switches)

Sheesh seems like we all ran into a little problem with the yeti nano for me works fine then out the blue sometimes in the middle of a conversation or while playing the mic cuts off where i have to unplug and replug have been doing this over and over any fix to why the mic will automatically cut off like that continuously?? Is there anyway to change how my mic will cut me off if i talk at the same tone for afew seconds? I think the mic picks it up as background noise and i want to make it not do that

mine must be busted sometimes i could be talking then yeti stops picking up my voice i could be whispering and it wont pick it up but sounds further away from me are picked up. strange i dunno how to explain it. if i held a note on a keyboard for 10 seconds yeti only picks up 5 seconds of that note then stops does that make sense. i had a regular blue yeti before no issues only noticed it with nano.

The download option for the sherpa app isnt available for me.

i make music, right? 3 DAW’s i’ve switched between. all of them have audio delay, i’ve concluded that im not tone deaf because i’ve tested through my phone and even a friends phone with BandLabs. my yeti nano just delays, it’s annoying. is there a fix?

I bought this just to get a better sound while using my logitec c922. So far, I can't hear anything coming out of my computer speakers when talking. Do you have to use headphones for this? Or can you use additional speakers? I'm new to this stuff. Any help would be appreciated...

Can anyone help cuz "no latency playback" won't work if I plugged my headset into my pc, even though I've set yeti speakers to default device. edit: no latency monitoring is also on and I can still hear my computer sound but still no playback. I really need help cuz I'm the type of person that likes to hear their own voice and when I wear my headset I can't really hear my voice and it's making me uncomfortable to record my voice.

Im using this mic with xbox console companion on PC talking to my friends in xbox live chat (they have xbox) They say they can hear like everything in my apartment and my fingers on the keyboard and my PC fan etc, like its too loud. Is that just a matter of adjusting the GAIN?

I want to record myself reading the whole bible for my 3 children so when I am dead, they can listen to me read the word of God to them. I appreciate you, Fraser, for making the settings easy.

If anyone has a problem with their yeti not picking up windows audio i found switching from 48000 Hz to 44100 Hz worked in the speaker properties Edit: before trying this make sure BOTH the speaker AND microphone settings are both set correctly: 1:28 - 2:32. Only if this doesnt work should you try 44100 Hz

omg can ANYONE HELP?? I have the nano yeti mic, it's fully plugged in, turns on and off, sound and devices recognises it, settings menu mic recognises it. but the stupid blue sherpa software I downloaded from the yeti site won't recognise it at all. makes me so mad lol. I don't know what to do any longer and LOL I don't wanna have to record my narrations on my Galaxy s10 as I don't know how to get it to my stupid laptop. Everything worked a few weeks ago, perfectly, and of COURSE now that im fixing to narrate no sleep and creepy pasta stories, it's not working. I want to use it on Audacity. i have Windows 10 btw. This shouldn't be this hard. I am soooo ready to yeet my pc and my mic out the window, you have no idea.

Hey, if anybody found their way here because the mute button won't let you unmute then I have a potential solution. My mic was stuck muted until I removed it from a USB 3 port on my computer and plugged it into a USB 2 port. Works perfectly fine now. USB 2 devices should work perfectly fine in USB 3 ports, but I guess they don't 100% of the time.

I just got the Blue Yeti Nano and this video totally solved the issue of me plugging in the Yeti w/ the USB and the sound from my computer not coming out and also not hearing myself. Jeez how tricky! But I got it. Now, anyonw know why the SHERPA program reads: This product requires 1024x728 and cannot download? I have a new Lenovo Yoga 7i and have the Windows 10 installed. How can I fix this or is it even possible to do so?

Stupid question: where does the recording record to? And #2, can it be connected to an android phone? To make a video, would i record the video on my phone and record the audio with the mic plugged into my Macbook using a program (audacity?), and when done line them up in imovie? Much thanks.
