I want to thank you for this tutorial. I managed to figure out how to record my voice overs for travel documentaries I do on my channel and your video really helped me a lot. 👍
Thank you for the tips. I also wanted to know if I can use it for output as well as the volume is quite low on my laptop requiring me to use headphones to hear clearly
I do believe this is possible - I have done it myself but try plugging it into your computer and then go to "Sound" in your settings and see if you can select it for Output!
thank you so much because that software could not recognize my streaming camera, so I have been trying to figure out how to merge the two. I have a macbook as well, so this is so helpful! thank you and God bless you for your time and concise video.
Could we talk about how cute that cat is, I would assume it's yours since it's in the video. Such an adorable fluff ball. 💕 Also, to stick with the topic of the video, I am trying to get me one of these so this video will be helpful for me and my mom to watch. Since I wanna get one for my birthday, thank you for the quick explanation for these mics. 🙏🏾
Great video Katie. I appreciate the good information. It was just what I was looking for. I subscribed to your channel and liked the video. Thanks again.
I record the Audio plugged directly into my Mac, not my camera which is part of the tutorial in this video - and then it is saved directly to my Mac desktop! I hope this helps!
@@Ktmiinchhi can you use the blue yeti like an open mic where you can actually hear yourself as you speak without hearing your voice through headphones? If yes, can you please tell me how to set it up that way? Thanks much!!
Hi! I think you can listen to audio through the mic, but you wouldn’t be able to talk into and hear yourself. That would end up messing with your audio being picked up for sure! Headphones is the best way to listen and talk 😊
@@Ktmiinch thank you. One last question, what sound settings do you have in order to listen to my voice through headphones? I plugged it into the yeti's 3.5mm jack port but I can't hear anything when I speak. I know I played around my sound settings and now I'm having this issue. I appreciate your help.
@@Ktmiinchthat was a great question. I have the Sony zv-E10. I really don’t want to record my audio and video separate is this the only option? Great video btw.
I'm really confused about the adapter part. I bought a USB A cable because I thought that's what the yeti uses. Do I need a USB C cable? I'm using a Mac book air. What kind of adapter do I use? Sorry I'm just not a tech person 😂
USB to USB-c likely! Unless your MacBook has a normal USB port then you can plug straight in. I just use the adapter cuz my MacBook only has USB-C ports. I hope this helps!
@@Ktmiinch thank you so much for replying! My Mac book only has USB c port as well.. what is the adapter you're using in the video? Also, how do I set up the mic to my camera? I have a canon eos m50 and don't know how to hook the blue yeti up to it. Thank you!!
You would need a USB to USB-C adapter for the yeti! The yeti comes with a cord that has a regular USB end, so you’ll need to plug that into the adapter, and the USB-C end will go into your computer. Not 100% sure how to connect directly into your camera sorry!
jsut got my YETI yesterday and have it up and running because of your tutorial. Is it me, or the sound its normal ? I use for streaming and the pattern I use is the reverse type of heart ? Should I change it for another one. My Gain is just a bit turn, not even at half!!
Hi Katie, i am a beggineer and actually not good at tech. can i use this to record an accoustic music..i"ve been desperately looking a way out to record my music and stuff. What do i need to have out of this yeti in order to record some musica stuff..? Do i need to get the headphones plugged as well? Maybe your explanation here might help me through. Thanks a lot..
Ah good, then I can with clean conscience name our Blue Yeti microphone as "Blue Catty" because I have been encouraged by a cat to continue using it@@Ktmiinch
Hi guys, if I connect my blue yeti to my phone and my headphone to blue yeti and start recording. I don't hear myself talking during the recording. Is that normal?
thanks for good video, got an issue or two :(( 1. when plug in got more than one Yeti MIC two in fact , 2. when I try to connect on zoom or google meet with someone else they can hear me but I cant why?? thanks
This helped so much!! Was wondering/concerned of the gain levels as I do gaming and my other mic picks up the noise of the keyboard and mouse even with a noise gate active. Excited to start using the yeti! 😍🩵
So glad this helped! How’s the Yeti treating you so far? To be honest I do sometimes get my mouse clicks in the background still - so if this happens w you maybe a sure mic would be the better option! 😊🙏🏼
I’ve been having trouble making sure the microphone isn’t muted. There have been a couple videos I filmed that I couldn’t use because they had no sound.
Video sucks because you didn't even tell me how to get into the yeti microphone test and test .If that's okay thank you for showing us how to unbox something and plug it in.
