The corps all had really beautiful finishes to their drums this past year, but this plum purple takes the cake for me. Simple, classy, and perfectly matching their costumes (I don’t say uniforms since theirs were so individualized). Next kit I buy is going to have a similar finish. Now if only they’d start playing Dynasty, Pearl, or Tama - I’ve never been a fan of the sound of the Yamaha marching instruments. Their drumsets are a totally different story, but something about their marching drums sound thin and hollow to me, especially compared to the beefy yet tonally pure sound of Dynasty’s. Not a fan of the system blue drums either, especially their tenors. To each ear their own though, I suppose.
@@jimmypringosvr5154 Yeah, I just feel like his crappy nickname is REALLY crappy, even the actor for Gibby didn't like being Gibby. The whole point of the character is that he's a bit stupid and chubby, which I feel like is not true or fair to Zack. People should definitely respect his wishes, and if you didn't wanna be called pants you just gotta tell people that it makes you uncomfortable. If they don't stop then they're not good people
Dang this drumline really plays some extremely hard warmups and show music Me drumming for 13 years I wouldn’t be able to play anything challenging like that especially when you gotta twirl your sticks.
@@happybone1978 That's their caption head Roger Carter, and they seem to manage with him on the drum set. Here's a behind the scenes video of them if you'd like to see how he teaches: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-76wuftW5MiQ.html
I’m a newbie to this marching drum line world and my question is damn how can they remember all these rolls, chops, stops, etc cause theirs a lot of them?
