+Sav ? I had the same experience; I couldn't even tell you how I got out of the City Level; it's never clear where you're supposed to go. Lucky you: got spared the rest of it.
I think you are supposed to do some sort of diving jump to outrun the hill billy. But of course you are right. You need all those collectables to fight the final boss and the final boss is...a dance off. No. I'm not joking. You have another lame DDR mini-game with a cowboy. That's the "final boss". Do I even have to say how stupid that is?
Fun fact: this game is actually impossible with N64 emulators due to how the Croc and the GIANT COWBOY will move at much faster speeds, f u n. Also I have beaten this game on actual hardware, it's a nightmare getting through the swamps without losing 1 life as soon as you get to the descending waterfall section.
I've been waiting on this review for a long time now and DLJ you didn't disappoint!! I remember my dad being a huge Blues Bros. fan and we rented this movie when it first came out on VHS in early 2001. I don't know if he really liked it or not because he didn't really say much about it. If you think this game sucks when it comes to backtracking, check out Resident Evil: Code Veronica. Goddamn, that game is about 65% of of backtracking. This game, however, is just an incomplete piece of shit that they stole from Super Mario 64 and Mary Kate & Ashley Birthday Dance Surprise. Fuck this stupid game and a pox on the developer's families.
PS1 games also had bad camera controls. Basically no one knew how to make a camera back then. But I agree it was worse on the N64 because you have to use the C buttons instead of an analog stick.
what is wrong with the blues brothers games being NOTHING LIKE THE MOVIES!!! seriously the first game looked like it took place inside an acid trip, this one looks like looney toons on cocaine
I see that you picked up speed shoes and the speed shoes allows you to not die from the water and also I looked up and you gave up at the end of the level before the final boss
It took me years of persistence during my childhood to beat this game. It was by no means a great game, definitely poorly programmed in places (like the consistent failure to be able to jump off roofs properly, as you mentioned), and it did lack a coherent vision. But I did find it fun to play when I was younger. It was one of those rare games which made me want to beat it precisely because it was so nonsensical and frustrating. And after beating it, I felt immense satisfaction at knowing I would never have to beat it again. What I liked about the game was its creativity. It has very little to do with the actual Blues Brothers 2000 movie, but I was intrigued by the whole concept of jumping around Chicago and running from alligators in sewers. The Graveyard level was my favorite. The Swamp level sucked -- by far my least favorite level, made all the worse because it was the last level... not getting all the notes and then being sent by Erykah Badu back to the beginning of the level to get all the notes... that was infuriating. To its credit, the game was my first introduction to the Blues Brothers themselves. It's more fun to play this game than it is to watch the terrible Blues Brothers 2000 movie. But of course, the game doesn't come close to the quality of the first Blues Brothers film. Anyway... it's cheaper to keep her ;)
You should take a break on bad games and play some good ones like did you get a ps4 ,I beat batman arkham knight and it was a lot of fun but don't get it on the pc because it was removed because the game kept crashing and if you don't believe me than watch Angry Joe's. But enough of the bad games and play some of the good games.
Fun fact, Hercules The Legendary Journeys is based off of a TV show that eventually got a spin off named Xena: Warrior Princess that basically is to that show what Persona is to Shin Megami Tensei.
@@johnbakasmoothhotchocolate I just checked; you can still get the game for 20 or so dollars- it's just 275 bucks if you want one in mint condition with the box and everything. If you think that's ridiculous, look up the game Space Station Silicon Valley sometime: it has a cutscene that only plays the very first time the cart is used, so unplayed carts of that game have sky-high prices
@@Darklordjadow1 I checked it and for a sealed copy they want $600. It's a pretty fun game I played back then, as well as Jet Force Gemini. And though I wouldn't pay $600 for it, I'll still say it's better than paying $10,000 for a copy of Super Mario 3D All*Stars for the Switch.
Has Titus been involved with any game that's--like--playable? Looking through their Wikipedia page the only game they were involved with that was okay was Ardy Lightfoot--a dime a dozen platformer for the SNES that also suffered from some major issues.
Wow there that expensive! Hope ti fighter is worth it oh and check out a game called il-2 stormivick it is a flight game. The one I have is like 1945 or something not cliffs of Dover or Stalingrad.
+DBZking119 Smooth controls, an immersive story, excellent design, competent AI that actually helps you out and listens when you give them commands (if you start tailing an enemy, that enemy will break off from its current objective and intentionally lead you away to try and trick you into wasting time while the other AI's continue their mission), energy management and targeting computer systems that you need to fiddle with constantly- keeping the gameplay ever-changing without over-complicating it, a wide variety of missions, ships that play vastly differently, plenty of content, and a fascinating expansion of the Star Wars lore that paints the cartoonishly evil Empire as a benign- though corrupt- governing body only trying to keep peace in an utterly massive galaxy. Does that adequately explain why I love TIE Fighter?
***** Trust me; the Steam version of TIE Fighter will not launch unless you own a joystick and have it connected to your computer. Do not buy the Steam version unless you own a joystick or have no problem buying one.
***** Good call. I don't know if the version on GoG.com works or not. The Steam version gives you two versions of the game: the classic edition and the collector's edition. The classic edition runs on a ridiculously buggy version of DOS Box, meaning the game is glitched to being nearly unplayable, beyond having crappy controls because I think you're pretty much tied to the mouse for flight. The Collector's Edition- which I grew up with- not only has actual voice acting and FAR superior graphics, but that port is very stable; but the collector's edition is what won't even launch without a joystick on Steam.
we all know that a game based on a bad movie will definitely be bad also stupid game designers and hey jadow are you planning to get batman arkham knight it came out two days ago and I was hoping you'd get it if you do I hope you love it! :)
darkknightfan75 I plan on getting Arkham Knight soon- probably sometime this weekend. I've heard the Batmobile is kind of just okay, but the rest of the game is mind-blowing. I'm staying away from most reviews and all videos until I get it. I am just ecstatic that the PC version of Arkham Knight has so many problems that they pulled it from Steam- reinforces my faith in consoles over PC's.
***** yeah don't see anything about the game great decision there are a lot of amazing stuff in it that I won't dare spoil for you I hope you love it,I will also be getting the game soon too. :)
What is the multiplayer like? coop? or? Noone ever seems to speak about this ( i did scan through the review not sure if you covered it at some point )
+Roy E Munson I don't believe that I talked about the multiplayer mode in the review. The multiplayer mode has people competing at the very crappy rhythm dancing minigame that I talked about quite a bit in the review. That's the only multiplayer mode.
Doctor Bane I've been told that somewhere else. I know Macauley Culkin was in the second movie (saw the Nostalgia Critic's review of it) but I'm told he wasn't playing Buster.
