Don’t know if any of Tony’s family still look at these comments but I’d like to say a big thank you for allowing his great Steele music to be still able to listen to the late great Tony😢
Hi I'm sally tony wife I'm so pleased your still enjoying his music he had a lot of talent, i am always looking at the comments which give me great comfort that his music is still giving pleasure to people Thanks Sally
@@tonybpr31 Hi Sally thanks for your comments my wife and I are both in our 70s Mal my wife never heard Steele guitar music before till she met me now she loves all these beautiful Steele music,we will have been married 3 years on Sunday BLUES MAN is our song xx
Tony, May you and my pedal steel guitar playing daddy, Ronald E. Rigg (1937-1999) make music together in heaven so beautiful that it makes the angels weep. For those that don’t know, Tony Browne died this past August.
Yeh we all could what a talented player but he too had sadly passed two years past I heard via a comment, message from his wife and through the British pedal steel society 😪 Tony has many posted videos and we must all keep watching them to keep them in there ,🤞👍
I had to put my little best friend to sleep Dec 27.When I play this sometimes it makes me cry but it is so lovely,I have his photo right here.Sometimes it looks like he is talking to me.I will miss him forever.Tony thanks so much for the wonderful music.
Judy Berry..We had to have our Little Black Jess put to sleep very peacefully one year and seven months ago. We have no Grandchildren..we ,[my Wife and I ],used to tell other people that she was our Grandbairn. Like you,we have her on our phones, and if I relate stories about her, my eyes well up instantly, like right now. This music is so relaxing,I have played Electric Guitar for 61 years, have loved steel since I was about twelve years old, first time I ever heard Slim Whitman and his Singing Guitar, and only last night, finally said that's it...and ordered a starter Lap Steel Guitar! I have watched David Hartley and his friend John,[sadly now deceased R.I.P. John],for years, and used to whistle some of their tracks while out walking LBJ,and just now I have discovered Tony, and he is also brilliant, from first hearing.I am sorry to read about your loss,I am like Tony, and believe that Animals don't give you grief,it's people..well SOME people that make life difficult for us all. We still see and hear LBJ,in the house at nights..like something catches your eye in the other room...a shadow...and you could swear it was LBJ popping her head around the doorway to check if you are still there...as she did...I'm getting sand in my eyes....luv Bill
Please keep on playing and don’t ever sell your steel guitar. It broke my heart when my daddy had to sell his to pay medical bills as he’d never get to play again. Playing brought him so much happiness. If you can, please make videos of you playing. BTW, Tony Browne died this past August.
One of the hardest musical instruments to master. Oh yes they can play notes; but when it comes to playing beautiful music, MOST simply can NOT do it on the SG. Sadly, I am one of those; even after trying for 75 yrs. I simply do not have it.
If you listen two any country you ll hear the screen in the bac ground plus Tony I just gr8 with his playing on it gr8 sounds that I've loved since the 40s I learned to play it when I was younger I'm 77 npw so I have gr8 memories of the sound in my head gr8 why to go bac in time.david e
,I wont be posting for awhile but you can bet I will be listening every chance I get.I would be totally lost without music and especially yours. The steel has always been my favorite instrument.I have been listening to country music since 1947.I used to lay in bed when I was a kid listening to the Opry on my radio.Probably kept my parents awake. Thanks again Tony.
tony one thing for sure, with all that's going on in the world today, and being shut in as we are, your music sure helps me pass away some precious time and I thank you for that,God bless Tony.
Grade-u-ated from a voc tech high school in Toledo OH in 1972... and played guitar in a country band. Talk about an outcast!!! Bought a beginner steel 8 years ago, took lessons for six months... and gave up. With the bar over just one fret position, using the 10 strings and combinations of the foot and knee pedals, there's something like 35-40 different chords you can make. Went back to guitar. At least I can make something that resembles music with it. :(
You know what I think you are amazing and I love every tune you play. I'm so in love with the sound it makes me feel wonderful inside. Thank you Tony. You ROCK!
Tony Browne , Hi Tony, I am sitting in the sun with one of your ardent fans George, listening to your music. I told you the other day that I am newly converted to Steele guitar music and was wondering if you had or could do a version of “ you lift me up”. I have listened to this so many times and feel in this climate it could give, people the incentive to carry on, with hope and confidence. It certainly is an inspirational song. Please Tony would you do a copy, I’m sure I’m not the only one who would appreciate it. Thank you for at least reading this, thanks Mal.xx Your newest fan Marilyn Brown (Mal).xxxx
I just discovered this and repeated you playing Blues man a couple dozen times in a row! It reminds me of my Grandfather who was a great musician and loved playing the steel guitar! Thank you Tony!
I just found out that Tony Browne passed away around in August of this year. At least he’s in good company with my daddy who was also a pedal steel guitar player. I’m sure that they’re having a good ole time making music together and making the angels cry.
I absolutely love this version of this song played on the PSG.What a great job by Tony, thanks for putting this up, I've about worn it out listening to it over and over. Hopefully I can get the Tab from JR
Hi Tony what a great tune to take the edge off, i for one am very glad you posted this for us all i wish i had the talent you have in your little finger Tony, good health my friend cheers Brian and on the Sho-bud
Tried to find the version by Brent Mason, and RU-vid kept coming up with a load of drivel, but my perseverance paid off by finding this excellent version instead, by Tony Browne. Well done Sir, most grateful.

@@tonybpr31 I had no idea that "blues man "could be so beautiful.thanks so much Tony and god bless what you do for all of us country country music fans.
Judy. Many thanks for all your recent lovely comments. Knowing you, and others appreciate the music I personally enjoy creating makes it all worthwhile.
@@rickeybullington68 "Professional jealousy". As a SG player for 75 yrs; I can attest to this without hesitation. Here is how it goes. There is NO instrument in the world that can make beautiful musical tones like the SG. And whether they know it or not, they can't stand it. Here is a PRIME example: Chet Atkins was one of the world's greatest regular guitar players. But you will almost never see him having a SG in his band. Why? Simple; knowingly or not, the SG can make sounds that Chet could NEVER make. End of story.
Beautiful, as usual. You and the pedal steel make the songs sound absolutely fabulous, as usual. Your friend in Maquoketa, IA (north of Davenport, IA about 50 mi)
