My Number One Funeral Song Is Going To Be ' "In The Garden " , It's The First One I Remember As A Child Hearing Mama And Grandma Play. You See, On Sundays After Church And Sunday Dinner. We Would Go In The Living Room And They Would Play On The Piano. But Too All These Old Classic Hymns , Have Brought So Much Comfort To So Many Souls Over The Years. Like The Words To In The Garden. One Day When My Time Comes or Jesus Comes Back First. I'll Be Walking In The Garden With Him One Day As All Of Us Who Know Him Will Do As Well. My Other Two Songs Will Be "Because He Lives ", And "I Want To Stroll Over Heaven With You ", By Alan Jackson. He Sang It At His Daddy's Funeral For His Mama And Then At His Mama's Funeral Too. Sorry About All My Rambling. Comes From Being From The South And Being A Southern Lady Too I Reckon. There's Nothing Like All These Old Hymns. It's A Shame They Have Just About Quit Singing Them In The Church's. I Do Not Care For This New Stuff , They Call Phraise Music. It's The Same Words Over And Over Again. I am certainly with you brother on this, sorry to say today's church music is not what it used to be. For some reason I just can't identify with it, coming from old southern gospel.
I live in Northern Maine and our church has gone downhill with all worship music. We have a lot of older people (me included) in our church and when & if they do decide to play an old gospel song The voices get very load and tears run down their faces because the old gospel songs hit the heart. Sad time in America.
I wish when I wish my daughter her 38th birthday today that she would get to have family with hrr on her special day. We made it to be together to make memories come to life. God hears all prayers.

Words fail me. I just stumbled onto this video by chance. It really brings back memories of my bygone days when my Dad would play his guitar at church on Sundays in the congregation. Just can't beat these old hymns, in my opinion. Thanks to the Lord for providing this video for us folks.

I think the pedal steel guitar can give the Harps of Heaven some real competition but seriously, i believe if you ask GOD in the name of JESUS, if it be HIS WILL, to GLORIFY HIMSELF by the music then the HOLY SPIRIT will come to strengthen the faithful and convict the unsaved. As one pastor said; "If it isn't praising GOD then it's not music." Another pastor said, speaking on this new praise & worship music; "Be careful my friend for if the beat sends ppl from the ballroom to the bedroom then it is not from GOD but from the deceiver beelzebub." This music reminds me of the early morning program, The Gospel Singing Jubilee, back in the early 1960's with the Happy Goodman Family Band. Examine yourself to be approved, repent when you slip up and fall in JESUS'S NAME and stay in HIS WORD, the bible, for HE will never leave you or forsake you. May GOD BLESS you all.

Just love these songs especially on Steele. They’re just as beautiful here in Canada and really enjoyed as some of the new music can’t compare. Thank you to those who took the time and effort to put them on.

I love the sound of a steel guitar. May neighbor and I use to play music together. He played the steel guitar and I played the accordion. His amplifier broke so he doesn't play anymore.

Michael Ashcraft My feeling is that steel music is as close to heavenly music as we can get here on earth! The sound system in heaven will be out of this world though! Maybe we can listen to it 24/7.(as if there is time in heaven)😁😀

Are any of these songs played by LT Zinn? It sure sounds like his style of playing. I have several of his CDs and some of these songs sound eerily like him!! Wonderful nonetheless! I look forward to playing the steel in heaven as I can’t play it here on earth!!!
