Our cover of the wonderful "Bluesette", originally composed and performed by jazz harmonica genius, Toots Thielemans.
Ben and I have been making a series of recordings together lately that have shed new light on our approaches to the "jazz sound", and what it means to play the tradition. Most of those recordings can be found on my other channel, ‪@JMUSICEnsembleOfficial‬ . However, this song in particular sets off my synesthesia in a way that's hard to describe beyond the colors and abstract imagery I see, but the way the melody and the harmony simply work together by how they move is some of the most beautiful music I've ever heard.
