Thanks for this review! Super helpful since Costco is selling the Charge 4 and Bose Soundflex now. I went with the JBL since it was cheaper and has better battery life. However, the Bose looks better to me and I was super close to buying it for that reason alone lol.

I like JBL but Bose has an advantage to me. It fits in my back pocket. Another plus is it’s rugged but when you need a case to protect it further, we all already have one. Just put it in a mismatched sock you have laying around. Still sounds fantastic and stays clean and protected. Love mine😍.

dude really great video. it's a tough call! in the back and forth comparison, i think the bose sounded better, but it's unidirectional, whereas the JBL pumps its sound out the sides so i think it'll be better at pumping music omnidirectionally.

20 hr battery life and I can charge my phone with JBL. Damn that’s tough to beat

I don’t know if it’s just me but the jbl just seems to have more rumble feeling to the songs while the Bose is a lot more cleaner if the vocals but kinda powers vocals more over the bass compared to the jbl . Still has great bass and could tell the difference between instruments a little easier with the Bose because the jbl seems to have more bass feel . Kinda drowned out the vocals more for me . Might just be me

Charge 5 or flex? What would you recommend at low volume for indoor use

I have both neither one have bass at all. The jbl you can't even hear the bass with your ear a couple inches away from it. Passive radiators suck. Jbl has good vocals bose has good everything. Bose has no bass either. They both have bass backed up to a wall but nothing to be proud of. Obviously they are both small speakers but don't buy either of you want bass. The Bose sounds amazing to me tho. Fills a large room with music but definitely not going to throw a party with it.
