So great to see you being able to fish with your Dad firstly and then the care you took to ensure he was hooked up and managing the fish. Fishing isn't always about what you catch but the time you spend with family and friends whilst waiting for that fish to come along. In years to come you will be able to look back with fond memories of this precious time with your Dad.

While using slow-pitch jigs, I've experienced losing many fish with the pump and wind system of bringing in a fish. Doing so tears large holes for the hooks to come out. The best way I've found is to finesse them in, by pointing the rod tip at the fish, and using the reel as a winch, to wind in the catch. However, I do use the pump and wind method of reeling in fish to beat the sharks, and, or dolphins when those predators are being aggressive.
