I dunno, the scent is kinda similar to Trailhead on Oasis for me, both green scents that I like. I also get very little long-term hold with Monarch because it makes a lot of strand separation, allowing bits to fall over even if the overall style stays most of the day. Personally, I like Original best from the line.

Trailhead is extremely different to me. As for monarch, you may have too thick of hair to really appreciate it. I would say it's more for finer hair types.

Dude, this stuff smells like RAID fly and wasp killer. Theres better out there, what in your opinion gives the strongest most matte finish in terms of matte paste? Also you never go through ingredients? Could be a useful addition to the reviews?

Not sure what the strongest matte paste is, potentially the original flagship matte paste but they don’t offer it in that formula anymore. I don’t have a strong enough background in the different chemicals to comment at a sufficient level for ingredients.
