I was at one of those small radio stations on the early 90s tour Damon speaks of. I was just a regular teenybopper hanging around outside Toronto's CFNY with a friend hoping to get a glimpse as I was too young to get into the show that evening. Along came Damon and Alex, who were little whippersnappers in their early 20s ... and they kindly invited us to join them in the station while they did their interview. We spent the next hour with them as they rolled around the place acting like eejits: ridiculously lovely, ebullient eejits, but eejits. Damon put me on his guest list for the show that evening and even checked on me at the venue that night before they went on stage. Indifference hadn't hit them yet I suppose. They were delightful.
the more I listen to Elastica and Supergrass...the more I realize how ahead of the Brit Pop trend Blur was...songs like "Line Up" and "Pumpin' On Your Stereo" sound kinda sorta like Blur songs
