Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750) Matthäus-Passion BWV244 Blute nur, du liebes Herz (Hana Blažiková) Choir and Orchestra of Collegium Vocale Ghent Direcció musical Philippe Herreweghe 28 de març de 2010, Kölner Philharmonie
Giancarlo Paganetti Si, è meravigliosa l'interpretazione di quella bellissima donna. Anche il direttore è magnifico. Una de mis interpretaciones favoritas, sin duda.
@@MichaelCWBell ah, I see what you mean. That is a flattened fifth (f natural instead of sharp). You are correct that it is a passing modulation to e minor (subdominant). I was confused because flat sixth occurs naturally in minor keys and it is often used as a second leading tone (but down to V) in many melodies. You can actually hear it in the second descending line just after 0:44. It begins with the flat sixth leading to f sharp (V degree).
Maravilloso.
What a beautiful unpretentious voice! I wonder why the orchestra doesn’t play the full value of the last note in the ostinato. It’s almost as if both beginning and end were staccati, but it somehow feels wrong to me, too dancy. Wouldn’t otherwise feel more like a lamentation?
One gig gains respect for the other. Imagine her rock chick band mates talking about her gig here. Honestly, her pitch and polish in Bach are beautifully executed.
