I bought this mic and hade used it too. According to my experience it does record good quality audio but also capture a lots of background noise.. So my tips is ( Buy if you live in a Quiet place and have some privacy. Don't buy if you live in a place where background noise are always going on )

Hi, I was provided with female xlr to male stereo cable to which i applied a jack. I am not able to hear anything when i connect it to my focusrite 2i4 audio interface. I am trying to record voice and vocals by placing the mic to my chest level.

I have the BM 800 and i can confirm it's a nice microphone for the price it almost sounds like the YETI but it has small tiny difference between the bassy voices compared between the two, however i've had the BM 800 for over 3 years and saw it again on sale and wanted to see if they upgraded it and kept the name and by the looks of it, it's the same just different colors under the same name, will buy one more tho as i don't feel like dishout out 10 bucks for a new cable when a microphone BM 800 comes with the same cable for 15 bucks which is a steal. :) Oh and you will need a good usb sound card or a phantom power combined with the usb sound card to make it more powerful mic. Cheers.

@@matrixamitgaming4194 yes you need either phantom power, or atleast a usb power sound card to give it more clarity, i used one of those black (few dollar) 7.1 channel sound cards. It has red/green lights, it has volume up/down buttons, mute mic/sound buttons, you'll find it easily, it's cheap but it did the job for me. I did try a sound card which was blue with writing on it "3D Sound" and it had plugs for mic and headphones, but it just gave it a lot of noise and it was so bad, so i gave that sound card to a family member who used to do music to tinker with it and he was happy with it. Hope this helps man! :)

Hello..bhaiya very nice video..but one problem with my setup...I am joining the wires rightly but the mic isn't showing lightening and it is not starting..once it lightened white but I didn't recognise it carefully..I am joining the wire of mic with setup box HY-229 which came with this microphone setup and other side wire with my mobile ...and its adaptor is also connected with it , where switch is on.. but it isn't responding...not starting...plzzzzzz plzzz help
