Engine : N13 How to fix BMW 1 series cutting out shortly after starting. (Replacing Fuel Pump Relay)
Models : 1 Series 114i,116i,118i,120i as long as versions with N13 engine (2012-2015) Four Cylinder 1.6Turbo. (F20/F21)
My car would cut out shortly after starting, and Show the Drivetrain Error. This Video shows a good first thing to try to fix it, as it is a cheap option. It show's how to change the fuel pump relay. Since I have done this my car has not had the problem.
Just got Relay from BMW Dealership for £17.00
Relay part Num: B61.36.6.915.327
Engine Code : 11A002 I Fuel High Pressure, Plausibility Too Low.

Hi, I’ve got the 316i F30. I’ve changed all spark plugs and coils but still getting misfires on cylinder 1 & 2 on cold start, sometimes even goes into limp mode as the car cuts off the fuel injectors on these two cylinders and eventually cuts out. I’m thinking that it’s either the fuel injectors going bad or could it be this fuel pump relay?

@@skizy89 With the fuel pump relay when you first start the car it runs for a little bit then cuts out, and sometimes then hard to start up again. And the drivetrain error shows on the screen. Well that's what mine was like. Have you tried running a tank of fuel that has injector clean in it. I use the 99 petrol that has injector cleaner in it. But could be worth trying the fuel pump relay, because mine had gone into limp mode a couple of times before I had done the fuel pump relay and it never does it now.

Really helpful video, thanks Lewis. Have just changed over the relay on my F20 116i as was having the same problem on starting up. Fingers crossed it was this!! Have you had to do anything else to fix the issue or was it definitely the relay?

Thanks, yeah mines been fine since. I used to get the drivetrain error come up on the screen aswell, and it hasn't done that since either.

Okay so my 116i f20 has been doing the same thing! Been told it was either of the fuel pumps. Both pretty expensive... Especially for me as I'm in South Africa. I literally can get the relay dirt cheap.... Bro if this solves my issue, you fucking deserve the best bj of your life😅😅😅😅
