You made one very important point, that when off-roading, the visual is not there, and this is why most GSA owners would never opt for bigger screens, they actually opt for smaller screens. Great point.
Nice comparison. I used to have the GSA with the Original windscreen with a Puig Deflector on top and it worked fine. On my current GS (comes with a smaller windshield) I replaced the Original one with a Puig Clear. As you said it is tall and I now have no need for the Deflector on top. I also installed the stabilizer bracket on the left side only so it is rock solid. Cheers.
Good video Dave. Over here in the UK I recently brought a tinted Givi Touring screen because the fella selling it didn't want a lot of money for it , but given I am 5' 10" tall I think I will stick with the original as I don't like having to look through a screen rather than over it. Stay safe out here.
Im not normal sized - 6’5” and have short legs, so i sit high in the saddle. Also very wide shoulders so im looking for something to provide more protection to my shoulders. Appreciate the information
I have a GSA with the stock screen and a Puig visor and just finished a 1600 mile 3 day ride. I'm 6'3" tall, and I have to say, it's a great configuration up to about 75mph. Anything over that and I feel an annoying buffeting at the top of my helmet. At 85, the airstream is hitting my forehead region on the helmet. I'm tall in the torso. However, I put a lower seat on it to reduce how high I "stick up". I am going to switch to the Puig, and reuse the clip on visor there.
Hi Dave, any updates on your opinions after having some time with them? Does the sport get the wind up enough? Thinking about vstream but possibly next size up..
