No point whatsoever in using the blinkers at those speeds, you´re not warning anyone of lane changes unless there´s someone tailing you at 300kph... which obviously isnt.
Ja, das ist ein vernünftiger Fahrer. Kann mir erzählen wer will, aber das ist viel weniger gefährlich, als diese asozialen Mittelspurfahrer oder die links fahren, obwohl rechts alles frei ist. Und über das nicht blinken will ich garnicht erst anfangen. Durch diese rücksichtslosen Leute kommt es viel mehr zu gefährlichen Situationen als durch hohe Geschwindigkeit. Oder was soll man von einem Fahrer denken, der da auf der Mittelspur fährt, obwohl rechts alles frei ist, mit eingeklapptem linken Außenspiegel. Wie ist der wohl so, sicher auf die Autobahn gekommen? Auf der Autobahn unterwegs, aber Gehirn noch immer zu Hause.
Man, for sure the car is fast as hell for a small 135i, but at that speed the car is literally jumping like crazy, my balls would not allow me to reach those speeds for that much time in that car like you did, you have balls of steel bro, respect !

I'm not sure the point of your statement "the maximum speed isn't even close in America" means. 280 kph is not the max in the U.S? Please explain. The point of Eccy's statement is the ability to not only go fast, even excessively fast, but follow the typical driving rules of changing lanes by using blinkers and staying right, something simpletons cannot handle at 65 mph i n the U.S. Since German cars are imported to the states, this is not difficult to duplicate in the right places.

Yeah, I've done 140(mph) or better on the freeways. And I'd typically advocate keep right unless passing. However with the way most of the US people drive (I'm American) it's halfway uncommon for people not to be in the fast lane only to pass. Usually people like.to hop in that lane and stay there like they are some high society fucker who's better than the other two lanes. Then they end up getting passed on the right.

It varies greatly. For once the difference in circumference between a new and fully worn tire is about 3%, so that directly translates to speedo deviation. Add another 2% for the range of possible tire pressures and a max variance of about 1% for different tire-dependent levels of slip, especially at higher speeds like this. That being said, German law allows a speedo to show 0 to 10% (plus 4kph) more than the real speed. With the calculations above, a new tire with high tire pressure and a stiff compound will make the speedo almost perfectly exact.
I like the fact that this can be achieved on the road. In Belgium you would be risking your life since people would move to the left lane for no reason whatsoever without using indicators and without checking mirrors, and when an accident actually happens because of that, they would blame the other driver for speeding ...

Yes it is a fact that bad drivers are a worldwide problem, but I have been driving in France, Italy and Germany. In Italy I think you are only allowed to drive if your IQ is below 50, but still in Belgium the traffic is 100 times worse.
I like this instrument cluster much kore than the new lcd displays. Looks alot meatier, masculine, more substantial to look at... to bad analog instruments are not trendy anymore.

using the right lane was probably also because the highway is sometimes bumpy. I was once going only 200, when there was a bump in a long left corner and instead of the left lane, i found myself on the middle lane suddenly. I wouldnt want to go on the outside lane very long with that speed.
My M140i runs into the 250km/h limiter like hitting a wall. It is stable but moving about and requires minor steering corrections. The 1 series are a wonderful breed, keep you alert, very lively, nimble and always providing smiles. Anyone in the market for these should hurry because the "successor" will be a hateful Mini based FWD shit pile.
what you mean with stage 3+? i run mhd 2+ 1-2 seconds faster than you and im wondering what are your specs... furthermore i have throttle closure so my could be faster as well

I know that left lane is only for overtaking but when you are going with 280km/h and you change direction,the weight transfer can make the car lose traction.moreover a public road is full of bumps that make tires lose grip.what i would do if i were to drive that fast on a public road is that i would stick to the left lane and only change lane if a faster car was approaching.

Hey, mich würde mal interessieren was alles an dem auto gemacht wurde denn ich habe ähnliches vor wenn ich mir den irgendwann mal kaufe und ich hab schon so einen ungefären plan was ich alles dran machen will dazu gehört auch den motor fast komplett umzubauen: JB4, geschmiedete kolben, pleul, kurbelwelle anderes einspritzsystem mit neuen spritleitungen, upgradelader, LLK, öl kühler, wasserkühler, kupplung, bmw performance bremsen mit stahlfelx bremsleitungen usw... mein ziel sind max. 450-550 ps und max. 750-800nm meine frage: was leistet dein auto und was hast du dran gemacht? und ist das was ich vorhabe möglich weil mir da einfach die praxis fehlt. gruß, alex
Für 450-500Ps brauchste keine geschmiedete Kurbelwelle, Pleuel oder Kolben beim N54.^^ Zudem ist fraglich, ob man bei geplanten 550PS oder "später noch mehr" es bei Serien STG und Zusatzbox (JB4) belässt oder bei dem Aufwand nicht gleich auf ein Freiprogammierbares STG geht. PS: Rein aus Interesse: "...wenn ich mir den irgendwann mal kaufe... ...(lange Tuningliste)..." -> darf man fragen wie alt du bist? Mich beschleicht da so eine Ahnung...
Wie viel Leistung hat der Wagen? 420 PS, oder hat er auch upgrade Lader, dann aber mit ca. 480 PS? Mit 420 PS soll er schon ca. 300 km/h GPS laufen. Mit 480 PS, ca. 310-15 km/h
Dima Pivovar und wenn er dann 800 ps hat läuft er 400 kmh? Also bitte. Nur weil ein Fahrzeug mehr Leistung hat heißt das nicht das seine Endgeschwindigkeit sich auch so stark erhöht
Marco Elfgen zur Info: Serien e82 135i mit 306 ps läuft 275 km/h GPS, vorausgesetzt die Abriegelung ist raus. Ein bmw m5 e39 mit 408 ps schafft 300 km/h GPS... Ich habe mein Kommentar abgegeben um zu erfahren was Stage 3+ bedeutet. Jeder Tuner definiert das anders. Ich kenne die physikalischen Gesetze ganz gut, brauche da keine Nachhilfe. Mit 800 ps schafft ein bmw E60 m5 GPower 370 km/h...
Endgeschwindigkeit hängt fast nur vom Getriebe ab. Primär ist es die Leistung die einen dahin bringt aber dein Getriebe bringt es, das du Geschwindigkeit überhaupt erreichst.. und diese "Stage" Geschichte sind einfach nur die Ausbaustufen. Hat also nichts mit dem zu tun wieviel da hinter steckt.
Was machst du, wenn bei 280 km/h ein normal fahrender PKW mit 130 km/h nach links zieht, um einen langsameren dritten PKW zu überholen??? Dein Bremsweg von 280 auf 130 dürfte nicht ausreichen! Sprich: Unverantwortlich! Spricht alles für eine Höchstgeschwindigkeit auf BABn. Oder?
