You my Friend actually nailed it , it is just pre-wired but it's not installed. I found a detail slip that came with the car when I purchased it . It doesn't mention anything about blu-tooth . :( . Thank you for replying back to and helping me with this hassle . I appreciate you helping out .

@X5360 The key functions of the seats and memory functions on the seat are actually two different functions. To set the memory seats, put the seat to your position, press the M button so it lights up and then press the corresponding button you want on the seat memory switch 1 or 2. This stores the seat position in seat memory. This is different than key memory which is stored when the vehicle is locked. :)

Hola, On this model BMW your vehicle has to be equipped with a factory alarm. Not all 3 series came with the alarm. A good way to test if you have an alarm is to hold down the trunk button. This is panic mode. You vehicle should flash and beep if you have an alarm installed. If no siren is heard, you do not have an alarm installed. BMW can install one and then the vehicle needs to be programmed for it to work correctly. Hope this helps.

Hello, very common. The most common cause then is one of the brake force lights in the trunk lid. They only come on while driving and hitting the brakes hard. They often go bad and set the warning and no visible lights can be found to be out. The dealer can scan the vehicle and there should be fault codes for the light that is out so this would be a way to verify this bulb needs replacement.

@schay26 Hello, once the oil check is done it will give a value or show on a graph. The system can detect about 1 qt low max so if it reads .5 then I would add only half a qt. If it shows 1 then it would be the full qt. Now be cautious as if the sensor is not reading you can overfill the oil. Typically if you add 1.5 qt and you do not see a change you may have a problem. The only way to find out exactly how much oil you have is to drain, catch and measure the oil. 6 cyl. = 7 qts

Hello Jason, I think you are looking at two different function. The 600 miles sounds like the miles until the service is due (like an oil change) and the bar is how much oil is in the engine. Modern BMW's do not have a dipstick and the oil level is checked electronically. I hope you enjoy your BMW :)

Hello, It could be the turbo which is then allowing oil into the intake and burning it during combustion. But with oil outside the engine you may also have a leak in the intake system making the noise. A smoke test of the intake might be a good place to start. Fix any external problems before tackling a more expensive turbo :)

Hello, This is functions of the BC computer for non I drive 3 series E90 vehicles. The I drive is actually different and easier to manage so I have yet to make a video for I drive.

Hello Kire, This means you have a check control message. This could be due to many reasons. The best thing to do would be display the check control messages. This can be as simple as not having the seat buckled.

:) I am wondering if you are only pre-wired for a telephone system but none is installed. The cost of installation is usually pretty high and it would be less expensive to buy a GPS with bluetooth or a speaker with bluetooth functions. I will try to find out if you have one once I get the VIN :)

There should be an option to change this setting in the OBC functions. If you have I drive then it would be under the settings in the menu or it would be part of the BC button settings that show in the cluster.

Hello Owen, The best place to have it looked over is the dealer. They usually charge only and hour to do a full check of the vehicle. The techs know a lot of the common failures and will be able to give you recommendations for what needs to be addressed sooner or later depending if it is a safety related item.

Hello, Can you send me the last seven digits of the VIN? I can show you how to set the daytime running lights. The DRL cannot be set up as the daytime light unfortunately.

Hi, i have a 2006 320D E90..my car is producing lot of black smoke from the exhaust and makes a very loud hissing noise whenever i press the accelerator...i'm assuming that noise is coming from the turbo (not sure)..and there is also black oil sprayed around the engine and air-intake vacuum... what could be some of the problems here? i asked few mechanics and they all give me different theories but i will soon take it to a BMW dealer..but need to know it from you first! Hi, under my check control, I have an exclamation mark inside of an up side down bulb. The manual says it's an external light warning indicator but every light works. Any idea's why this is coming up? Thanks.

No I wasn't able to pair my phone and I have an iphone 4 . I will try to get the vin number once I get the chance today . I look thur my menu but I don't see any selections for blu tooth . The steering wheel has the buttons but no options on the configurations , it's strange or is this something normal that BMW enjoys to tease their customers lol .

Hi, just bought a used 2006 bmw 330i. It doesnt have the iDrive package and it has 99,993 miles. Runs great but wanna get it checked out to see what i can do to improve or fix. Any suggestions would be great. Thank you.

The 320d should still use a dipstick. This could be why the menu is not available.

i just bought a beemer . i was checking my oil through the mileage option it shows 600 miles but the computer reader shows the bar more than half and says 'OK". so what to do?

I have an 2005 model e90 320d but I don't have the Oil menu. Is this normal?
