BMW 3-series replacing cerpentine belt 

Nice vid used to replace my belt, thanks. At 3:06 what is the black box thing to the right of your hand?

I have a noise for like 5 seconds and it goes away then when driving in low revs and braking there's a squeal from the belt area might it be the belt and guide wheel but not when sitting or ideling
