I highly doubt that it would have been fixed this way. There was video editing at the end ^^ This is not realistic because the egr valve moves slowly and generates a warning light. Crucially, when the warning light comes on, it is recognized as a broken egr, so it must be reset in ista.
Im confused. You r showing at the beggining the engine light but the Engine was not turned on the you do the cleaning and after that you start the engine then you thumbs up for the engine light that turned of. :/ I hope u understand
I followed this video step by step be really careful removing the air breather return pipe on the f30 it’s very weak and east to snap / crack as I did hat to replace whole tube
Thank you for this video. I have a question about the two screws of the EGR valve. Do you know what are the measure of the two scriews? Do you perhaps know the part number for them? Thanks F.
I got "drivetrain error, ride slow" error once a month, i did let check and there where 2 errors of egr and other one from spark plug. Mine is 318d from 2015. Will this fix the error of drivechain?
Hi mate I have 330d f30 the egr valve was easy to get the pipe you pull out was was not ther which made it really easy to get to however even after unscrewing everything I could not seem to pull out the egr as if it was glued on please can you help
Just done exactly this on my F30 330D.....and mine was also frustratingly tricky to get out! But basically, the trick is to start making the tiny twisting movements as per @3:30 in the video and keep doing that until it frees up slightly. There's no gasket or glue, just takes some perseverance!
There's no silicone gasket. There is an O-Ring but that is inside the housing rather than on the valve so just stays in place when the valve is removed. This link (www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showparts?id=3L52-EUR-08-2012-F31-BMW-330d&diagId=11_4582) shows the parts breakdown.
Mine is so stuck in... Need to make a brake, come here to find out and continue back. I even thought that there was an hidden screw... It must be full of carbon 😐
check if this is what you need. otherwise, try to search this site pt.bmwfans.info/parts-catalog/F31/Europe/320d-N47N/L-N/mar2013/browse/engine/intake_manifold_supercharg_air_duct_agr/
Hello Fernando! Love your videos, what type of torx did you use after the 30? In my f30 320d they seem to be torx 30s but with a hole in the middle, got any suggestions?
First of all, thank you very much for your very use- and helpful videos. Why you didn't dismatled the egr in order to clean it with a cleaning fluid like LIQUI MOLY 5168
I did not disassemble the egr valve because there were two flexible tubes that were attached by their original clampers and if the tubes were damaged I did not have to replace them. The Video was just a way to demonstrate how easy it is to clean the egr valve. Thanks
You just cleared an irrelevant area in EGR. Problem is under the plastic cab. Open it and check if controller arm works smoothly. If not - you just found the issue.
@Fernando Montenegro PPE is not PPE if its not suitable for the task. Those gloves are overkill. Would you wear armour to go fishing? Good video though.
@@fernandomontenegroBMW tried everything for a good 3 hours today got some movement but really struggling is a 123d with 131k on the clock so can imagine it's complete full of crap
Amazing video as always. Do you have any idea how to clean the dpf sensor while ithe dpf t is still fitted? I simply can no remove the sensor from the DPF... it's too tight
The objective of my videos is to provide examples so that people can make their own reviews. the music is from the RU-vid playlist which is very limited but you can always remove the sound. If I spoke it might be boring too. I try to help the best I can. Thanks for your comment
I can not see what is achieved by simple brushing and wiping the egr valve in this manner? Surely remove it and give it a proper clean with carb / egr cleaner & give it an electromechanical test? Or, save time & run some wynn's EGR cleaner through it & after following the instructions, take the car for a damn good thrash!!!
if wynns egr cleaner is used, will the soot coming out from the egr not going to the dpf? then you may have to clean the dpf also. I want to clean it also but dont know which is better
@@relaxat1732 if you use that i recommend you to do a forced regeneration trough obd. Otherwise your dpf will be clogged up with the dirt that comes from egr-intake manifold etc and youll have a bigger problem afterwards
I make this easier, with 2 spray for cleaning egr and turbo in the hose after air filter spray repetitive with 1s delay after each spray and i manage to clean all internals egr, turbo, intake vlalves on my 318d f30. Car is perfect now check engine off.
This is not a good way to clean your egr. Most egr problems are with the egrs external mechanism that gets stuck and won’t close… you did 0 cleaning and didn’t check for that either… if you go to the trouble to disarming everything you might consider buying a new EGR… you will do your motor a favor :)
to open the valve you have to remove the three screws as you can verify in the video. if you want to remove the valve you have to remove two tubes that are behind the valve.
sorry but you just spent all the time unscrewing every thing anf that wont resolve aa sticking valve.. it needs to be taken off and cleaned and greased to stop sticking
any one know on here if the air filter box come apart in two? As I have a hole in the top of mine due to shutting the bonnet and leaving a spanner on there
