Car Acceleration TV drives a BMW 330d E90 sedan stock with 3.0l diesel engine and 245HP. This is an efficient dynamic version. This is quite rare with the 6 cylinder diesel and manual transmission. We are doing a test drive on German Autobahn with no speed limit. We accelerate the BMW 330d E90 up to top speed. Due to the traffic on the motorway, we were unfortunately unable to make a continuous 0-250 test measurement. But we will catch up on this test drive. Don't hesitate and subscribe to the channel. My car is also a 330d Touring. It is from 2010. What is to consider that it is a good diesel engine for this car? Then I can look what I have under the hood. Ok, I have no display, but I will survive with my tomtom. Thank you in advance.

I have an E92 with the same N57 engine and it is a brilliant unit. It is totally stock and I would say that performance is similar. I wouldn't be surprised if BMW were slightly conservative with their power figures for this engine so to not hurt the sales of the 330i and 335d variants. Mine has manual transmission which was my reason for buying it instead of the 335d.

German brands are pretty much always conservative with their power figures, it's so you get the horsepower you paid for wherever you are at whatever temperature.

should be tachometer, not gps, its nearly impossible to reach 3284 kmh gps with under 300hp! mine has about 290 and does 255-260 gps

I have a 330xd E91 (mapped stage1) and 260 km/h on the speedo is actually ~250-251 km/h, measured several times with 10hz gps devices including dragy and pgear (with stock tire size). P.S. Would be nice to see the GPS data from the gopro (I'm assuming that's the camera capturing the speedo).

yeah and the car is limited to 250km/h by software like most cars of this power, you can see the speedo stop suddenly even though the car still has like 800 rpms left, it can easily reach 265 km/h but its software limited

The M57D30 is very reliable, E90 LCI (facelift) N57D30 isn’t quite as reliable but it’s more refined.

@@tonyvideochannel6871 Yes. Even the 320d M47D20 is reliable aside from swirl flaps too. They’re easy to spot in the wild because the exhaust tips point to the ground. Cars with the N series engine and DPF have normal looking exhaust tips.

@@zeroyon4562 E90 330d all have DPF's. only in E60 530d from first years (2003-2004) didn't have them. Only the M47 320d mostly didn't have them in E90. After that all N47 had them, but those are trash honestly

so mouch diference...rear timing chain, diferenc engine blok, higher rpm range, more power and tuning potencial...your 530d with m57 stage 1 is ~280hp and this n57 stage1 320-30 hp...mouch powerful engine

I was looking at a 330D 2007, so are these good reliable engines? I want something with power and efficiency. Had a 3 series E46 for 6 years, loved that, but it was only a 1.8 petrol so always lacked the power I wanted, but everything else about it was great. I’ve never had a diesel before, so I’m abit sceptical, I’m having thoughts of buying one, then something expensive going wrong with it, like the turbo etc? Can anyone put my mind at ease lol. The ones I’m looking at are around 100k miles on the clock, im assuming 100k is nothing on a 3.0 BMW diesel ?

2007 is an excellent engine if i remember correctly it has M47D30 and it is a really reliable engine! I recommend it and i have heard that it can last to the end of the world😂 But the other engine N47 isnt so great. Lot of issues due the timing chain so i would stick my money to the M47

dude, m47 is 2.0d, you mean m57, but n57 is also good, just change timing chain every 200k and oils before 7k

Definitely stock, but they often spread upwards in terms of performance. 100-200 he drives 17-18s measured with dragy. With 300 HP you drive 100-200 about 14s

I also have a stage 1 530d and 245cv for the 330d seems too low hp numbers the way it accelerates. More like 260-280 cv which is similar to my car.

@@jakubleschtina7734 E9x 325d/330d N57 DPF on/EGR off/335d intercooler/cleaned intake manifold and remapped to 303 PS and 670 Nm will take 100-200 km/h in 14.x sec and reaching vmax 27x km/h GPS. Thereby the 260 kmh mark of the speedometer is exceeded by several cm.

My previous car to my E92 N57 330d was an N55 335i DCT convertible. The 330d is pretty much just as fast. Both were completely stock.
