This video will help you remove your faded headlight lenses and replace them with new clear lenses. Since you also must remove the headlight washer nozzles (if equipped) this also shows you how to remove, replace those. Are you leaking washer fluid and cant find where it's coming from? probably these nozzles.

This worked great with my Honda 2600 psi Pressure washer ru-vid.comUgkxfQauTxLT0JLSvqkq10rD79TU4k0Vz8zP , it came with two different size adapters, and tread tape so you're ready to go. I used it on my sidewalk that was getting dark and it worked great with no sprayer streaks. Just back and forth, really easy and way better than the spray adapters that came with my Pressure washer.

Great video! I searched to find someone with the washer jets. I was trying to remove mine like you said but they gave me hell. I then figured out that you don't have to remove them at all. Just release the clips of the face plate thing and slide the whole bit forward. There is enough clearance for the lights to come out after you do that. Naturally I had already broken the cover by then.

Great video. Several videos on RU-vid on this subject but this is the only one have seen which dealt in detail with replacing the lens to fixture gasket--essential for keeping moisture out. Most just use the old gasket which is a big mistake. Video explained everything in great detail. THANKS!!!

Thanks for posting this video, just replaced the lenses on my car and your clear, informative video made the task very straightforward. The tip of wrapping the paper around the hard to get to bolt was invaluable

Will the washer pop out even with a drained tank? I was assuming the water pressure forces them out?

We'll I got everything back together using the old gaskets. Went together without much effort but it is a snug fit and you need to snap the upper tabs in first. Check the black seals that fit on top of the headlight bucket and if there are any tears you can patch with silicone. Also check the weather strip on the red trim piece that goes on the bottom of the headlight. If it is loose then re-attach with silicone. Also, there is the headlight type (ZKW or Marrelli) designation on the top of the headlight assembly. Finally, DO NOT use pliers. I tried this and did snap off a piece of the lens on the edge. I attached it with JB and sanded smooth. The solid gaskets will not fit if you have the hollow gaskets originally. Good Luck!

@mrcengr I can't say i agree here. Too little space to really get to all four, once all screws are removed it slides forward a good 6-8 inches allowing EASY removal of all 4 plugs. Then you have the lens out and have full access to all clips for the body molding (the center connector is easily broken if you dont press the clip inwards and just pull on it like you would have to if it was still mounted)

Thank you so much for that video. What makes it even better, almost perfect, are the tips ant tricks. Lots of other comments are just trash compared with your video. I did as you recommended and it worked out. Greetings from Germany :-)

Good video for the procedure but the gaskets for the new lenses are too thick to allow the new lens to snap into place. I got them from the Dealer and there is only one part number. The old gaskets are hollow; the new ones are solid and about half again as thick. I took them to a body shop and the manager said you will likely crack the lens if you force it into place. So, I am going to trim the new gaskets to see if I can get them to work. if not I will use the old ones and seal them in the head light buckets with windshield sealant. I'll keep you posted.

@mrcengr i don't agree, the housing tabs are plastic on the top and are part of the lense housing and the bottom ones slide onto a plastic mount that holds the headlight washer assembly. too much pressure (and alot is needed to properly seat the new lenses) could probably snap one making your entire housing worthless and they are WAY more expensive to replace. Also, the lense is very flexible still if new, so using pliers to grab the lip..i dont see an issue with.

@PMPDaddy68 you can also protect it with cloth, and...if you do scratch it...so what. it's the top of the lenses, light doesnt shine anywhere except the front and all edges of the lense where you would grab are completely covered when the light assembly is reinstalled into the car.

@mrcengr yes this 'could' work, but mine had some condensation in the lense, plus i am of the school that it's better to replace all seals, gaskets, etc when doing a job if you want to do it right. but, that said...if you have zero condensation issues yes it probably would be ok. but the gaskets are not expensive. better safe than sorry.

Hello, thank you very much for this Video. Quick one! how do you activate the headlight washer? I pulled on the screen washer fluid 5 times, but it doesn't activate the headlight washer pump still. I independently tested the pump and confirmed it working. Thanks again

@mrcengr the next guy will be me ;-) yes i could have done this, just didn't have any handy at the time. i would get something specifically for electrical connections as you don't want anything that is conductive.

I just got some after market halos installed and the next day my fluid was leaking, do you think it has to do with the headlight fluid?
@PMPDaddy68
@PMPDaddy68 10 лет назад
yea you have probably figured it out by now, but check the little arms that come out and have the body colored cover, they just pull out, around their edges they are probably cracked if old.
