That's about the best and correct way to remove the lens, cutting through the lens itself and not the headlight housing. Removing the remaining of the lens from the housing is a bit time consuming but will lead to a quality end result and completely sealed housing. Great job there!

I should have watched this video before I opened my lenses. I ended up touching the chrome on the inside by accident as I was wiping one spot and damaged the chrome. Is there a fix for that or just leave it as is? unless I repaint everything black in there maybe...
