Coding is very simple and risk-less process if you know the basics. Via coding you can activate hidden functions of your BMW and customise it according to your needs. There are huge variety of different solutions for doing coding procedure. But the most professional approach is doing that via E-Sys. In current video I'm showing in a great level of detail what would you need to begin with the coding, how to establish the connection right and how to perform basic codings of your vehicle.
Part 1 is only the beginning of our journey. Because it's impossible to include all the knowledge in a single video.

I’m using ASUS ZEN book There are no special requirements. Minimum what I can recommend is 1TB SSD All other parameters are not so important for bmw coding (win10 is preferred)

This is brilliant, Thanks for the detail, Because of your video I was able to easily code my HU-NBT head unit successfully, I have a cheat sheet with f15 codes if you want to add it to your website although I'm sure you already have them. The only thing I am struggling with is that I was able to code usb video with codex on my front unit but not be able to get it right on my rear entertainment system. Not sure if you would be able to point me in the right direction. or if it's even possible. Keep up the good work and thanks for making these videos, I feel comfortable doing the coding myself purely because of it.

On your car just changing the screen is not enough. While headunit exchange is needed.

Exchange of the ECU will be the same on F and G series. But activation of the navigation function itself in headunit will be different and depend of the heaunit type

Cheatsheet will not help in your case. If cruise control is not present from the factory then some hardware modifications are needed (ecu replacement) and only then coding via FA

@@BimDoc I have fitted the switch module on my MFSW already. I’ve been told I need to add 544 to the FA, then code FEM, ICM & KOMBI but I haven’t been told what to code in those ECU’s? Firstly; is the above correct? And is it a case of adding 544 into the FA, then simply selecting ‘Code’ on each of those ECU’s?

Nice to meet you I would like to install the original front and side view cameras on my BMW F06 640i Gran Coupe. Coding is required after installation, but if VO coding is done, can each camera be used independently? In order to use the around view camera, is it possible to use it without performing VO coding separately in addition to the coding associated with installation? Any other coding required?

Yes you can FDL code every single parameter if you know those. But VO coding is faster (if you have retrofits done, then it might be an issue)

I use MHD black WIFI adapter fo Esys and Ista. It has a lan port as well. One issue though, during some Ista service tasks, where I need to turn the engine on/off, it shows "connection disrupted" errors..

Hi Vladimir, thanks for the explanation. I VO coded my G21 a mont ago with option 430 for the mirrors, now I looked to my option list by Mdecoder, but I can't see the changes. My previous car, a F34 i also VO coded when i added the front PDC and after a few weeks i looked to the option list and there it was changed. Any idea what the reason is? I also changed the suspension from Msport to normal and I also want to change that in the VO. I know i have to add the code 225 (normal suspension) and delete 704 (M sport suspension) but how can I code that into the car ( code FEM or REM or something else? Thanks.

Formation for Mdecoder and similar is taken from bmw servers not from your car. So while your car is offline then you can do what ever you want there, no changes on bmw will appear. But if you visit bmw dealer then some behind the scene magic happens.

Enet cable is enough for beginning. You can find that on eBay or Amazon. All enet cables are the same. Will work on F and G series. Finding launcher is a bit more tricky. I might make a video on that topic which launcher can be purchased where etc.

When you read the VO (16.13 min in) it shows the Vehicle Profile on the right hand screen and Active in green next to to the FA folder on the left hand screen. Neither of these are visible when i read my VO? I can expand the FA folder and see all the information (and edit it) but not sure why i do not see active next to the FA and the Profile information?

Hello i've tried to install and run esys from several different places where they explain etc with launcher but allways token isnt correct also ive seen that token master is away and doesnt respond from some months. My question is as i have to code only - disable turning lights light up when i press the brake pedal since i bought USA car and changed the diodes from red to yellow to match EU regulations and i dont want to spend $ on it(since im not gonna code more) except i bought enet cable i want to ask if theres free way to make it with my laptop .Thanks .

For FDL codings you need a launcher. It’s also doable remotely if needed.

Excellent video - - what are the minimum specs for the PC, windows version and how do you set up the USB C port to talk to the ethernet adapter? Can you show how to remove the BMW gong sound when the vehicle is put into reverse....in fact, remove the gong sound from everything !

There are actually no special requirements. SSD should be big enough to fit databases (full data can weight around 300GB)

Esys launcher pro v 2.8.1 is available in the internet. All newer versions have to be purchased.

hello I watched your RU-vid videos on coding you do a good job at walking people thru it I have a 14 bmw x5 diesel F15 and looking at coding a 6WA cluster is there a place where I can find a cheat sheet on how to do it myself if you can help I'd appreciate it
